And then Steve Kerr also said this.

Quote
Earlier this week, head coach Steve Kerr told a fan: "We got him." The video posted to social media quickly became a viral moment as speculation swirled with Golden State's involvement in the race for James.

Edit: forgot to put the Source

So who knows maybe they already made a deal and LBJ choose to join on GSW for show purposes. But until there's no confirmation happen, well its expected that people would continue to speculate and talk about other possibilities on where LBJ would finally sign.

Is that already a hint? The words “we got him” being reported in the news make me think it could be LeBron.

For a while, I thought the Sixers or Cavaliers were the strongest candidates, but now it seems like LeBron might want to join the team that dominated him in the past. Maybe he believes he can win another championship there. I also believe he is good friends with Draymond, so they could already have good chemistry if he joins the Warriors.

That statement might have weight but till there's no final announcement from LeBron's camp or from the GSW then fans still going to speculate to where LeBron will play this coming season, though the friendship with Green might also influence him to play with them, not sure how things will work but wherever he choose to play the team will surely compensate with what he brings to the franchise, even he's no longer at his prime but his name will carry him and his legacy which will bring possible profits for the team's merchandize and ticket sales.

Yeah it could be since Kerr provably won't drop such statement if they know that they don't have a chance to sign Lebron.

Also he's agent also give some signs about possible team up. That's why the speculation towards Lebron addition on GSW goes even more higher. But until there's no official signing happen between those teams, I think the speculation towards Lebron would go on Sixers or even on Cavs is still alive.

That could mean goodbye to Butler, with LeBron possibly replacing him. Butler hasn’t been reliable during the playoffs, so it may be better for him to leave and let LeBron take his place. At least LeBron has remained more durable despite his age, while Butler has unfortunately suffered injuries at the worst possible time, the playoffs. That isn’t ideal for a team trying to win another championship.

But like you said, nothing is final until there’s an official announcement, so the speculation about other teams will continue.

Lebron isn't going to Sixers, it was just a joke. I think then next time we are going to see him in a jersey, it should be Cavs, and the only reason he isn't signed with Cavs yet, is because he is considering if a ring is a possibility with Heat.

Bam is there, now they have Giannis there, and the system will be very clogged, Lebron + Giannis + Bam all inside, they need some lethal shooters, I mean like almost Curry levels of shooter, otherwise this would not be working at all.

He is looking, if he thinks he can retire with another ring, he will pick Miami, if not and he doesn't trust them, then just go to Cavs and fail there one more year and retire.

Miami doesn’t seem like a good option. LeBron left the team after winning two championships there, and now he wants to return? He’s already in the final stage of his career, so I think he should retire with the team he owes the most to the Cavaliers, where he first became a superstar.

Winning another ring with Cleveland would be another great achievement and would tie him with Kobe in total championships. I’m just hoping he decides soon so we can finally stop speculating.

But things have settled down now, so it's not that bad anymore. Still, it's taking way too long. It's even delaying the NBA schedule release.

I looked it up, and the most likely reason is that the league expects LeBron to play on Opening Night and Christmas Day. Some people say he's old now and no longer in his prime, but they're overlooking the business side of it. There's a reason why the NBA is handling this carefully.

He may not be in his prime anymore, but he's still a double-digit scorer. More importantly, the LeBron effect on revenue is still very real. That's what teams are after, especially once his retirement tour is announced. Just wait and see what happens to ticket prices.

I'd love to see him retire with the Cavs, but LeBron doesn't owe any team anything. At the end of the day, it's a business. It's all about give and take.

That can’t be denied. We can check his stats, and he has managed to maintain good numbers, so his value remains high. However, we shouldn’t expect him to carry the team the way he did when he was younger.

At this stage of his career, it would be better for him to play alongside other stars like Mitchell and possibly Harden, if LeBron’s arrival would convince him to stay. That would give them another Big Three with plenty of experience. The Cavaliers could become a championship team, as long as they all stay healthy.

Yeah, I don't think that he will be going to the Sixers, maybe he just wants to tease his fans again with that kind of statement. So it's either Cavs or the Heat as he has history with that two teams already.

So it boils down to the two teams, and for sure he is looking to a team that might bring him to another ring. At least tie him with Kobe. No need to get individuals awards, it will be just a bonus for him. He has so many records already and what he needs to really cement his legacy is to have another ring.

There are 4 most likely teams discussed for LeBron's next place:

- Cavaliers
- 76ers
- Heat
- Warriors

Still it's so hard to make a prediction though as 4 alternatives is too much.  Roll Eyes  76ers would be really great thinking of Jaylen Brown and Embiid there. They can make a great trio.

Cavaliers would also be nice but Warriors sounds really interesting. Curry - LeBron have made a great duo in Olympic Games so far. Lastly, I don't think Heat will get him. If Giannis didn't go there I'd see the chances much higher.
Well polymarket still shows Miami Heat as the biggest candidate, not that it is an official place, but with so much insider trading going on around the world, I would not be shocked if anyone with any info gambled some there. I would say Cavs are second place and that's about it, I think that is his list.

Sixers are only considered because of the joke he made about the process, but it was not his intention, he isn't going there, they only got their names up over a joke. It's either Miami or Cavs, and if those two somehow do not work out for some weird reason, Warriors will get him right away. So 27 teams out, only 3 teams in, and most likely just Cavs or Heat.

Mavericks match Knicks offer, will keep big man Moussa Cisse
https://www.nbcsports.com/nba/news/mavericks-match-knicks-offer-will-keep-big-man-moussa-cisse

Quote
The Knicks took a shot at landing a reserve big man on the cheap. At that price, Dallas decided to keep him.

The Mavericks will match the Knicks’ offer sheet to restricted free agent Moussa Cisse, his agents told Shams Charania of ESPN. Dallas could have waited until Monday but apparently just went now.

This isn’t a surprise, considering how little this was going to cost. The offer sheet was for two years at the minimum ($2.2 million this season, $2.6 million for 2027-28), but that is reportedly only partially guaranteed for this season ($1.1 million, but he would have to be waived by Oct. 1, just after the start of training camp, or it’s guaranteed for the season) and non-guaranteed for next season.

The Mavericks may have thought it would be a waste to pass on a very cheap big man who could be useful when they need him, especially with Lively still healing. Also, this will give them some room if ever they want to trade Gafford to another team.
Actually, they are looking for a team that would offer something for him. I think taking Cisse was a good move by Dallas, and now they can entertain those who are interested in Gafford, especially teams that are looking for a big man with speed.

Cooper Flagg was said that he's grown two inches during the off season. From 6'9 to 6'11 that's a good improvement for this rookie. A height advantage is a big thing in the league right now and that's why many of the teams are getting those with height and can shoot.

That is pretty crazy. At nearly 7 feet tall he has a pretty amazing skill set. I wonder if he will continue to love and shoot as well or if he will be a little clumsy. It seems like before long everyone will have to be 7 feet tall to be in the NBA. I actually think the time may come soon to start discussing raising the hoop.

Haha raise it to what? 11 feet? Most of these players can probably dunk if the hoop was 12-13 feet honestly, especially the 7 footers in the league. I doubt they explore raising the rim though to be honest.

Cooper Flagg was said that he's grown two inches during the off season. From 6'9 to 6'11 that's a good improvement for this rookie. A height advantage is a big thing in the league right now and that's why many of the teams are getting those with height and can shoot.

I was thinking 10.5 feet. The men already use a bigger ball than the women, I don’t think it would be crazy for them to shoot on a higher rim as well.

However, there are obvious issues like 10 foot hoops all over the world that would make a change like this a logistical nightmare, so I don’t think it will ever happen either.

As long as his speed will not change and he'll retain that as well but there's a caveat for height as well. Although in this generation for the NBA, these really are different people. As for raising the hoop, I guess that should have done long time before when Yao Ming was there. So yeah, that's not going to happen but who knows, there are some change in the rule in G League I think so some probably but we'll see.

I would also like to see LeBron signing for a team that he hasn't won a ring with yet. Cavaliers and Heat are both teams where he has got championships in his career.

This is why it would be nice to see him at a different team for me. Like 76ers or Warriors which are also rumored teams with him. I would love to watch Curry and LeBron in the same team before one of them retires. Smiley

The chance of being traded is not by far if ever LeBron decided to pick GSW on his next journey, like what you have said much better for Butler to leave and be traded since LeBron is already decided to play with the team and with him the position needs to focus on him, though it's still depends whether the management can keep him as the cap for keeping them may skyhigh with LeBron's addition to the team.

Until there's no final announcement all those 4 mentioned teams still have the chance to sign him up, let's wait for the final decision from his camp.

The prediction markets switched up today and are now favoring Miami as a landing spot, so maybe somebody knows something… LeBron having Bam and Giannis as teammates would have a shot at a title.

And I'm looking forward for that situation to happen, because each games they played would became more exciting. Imagine the views NBA could get and revenue it could give on Warriors. This is really huge knowing that many want this duo to play together.

Also on Miami side even if we know how strong their team if LBJ will go on Miami, because their problem is chemistry. But if they can make everything work so well and LBJ will became their facilitator. He can be a good point guard for both stars and with that they have better shot to win a championship.

Lebron have all the options where is he is going, so its just gonna be walk in the park to decide, no matter where he goes as long as he is not injured he will do good as a player not prime but still he can put up numbers and that's not going to be a problem to them, now on chasing the ring there could be some adjustments where he is going to play but now things are getting closer, heat for a best shot at the title , for an epic run would be with GSW with curry and lebron that could draw crowds, and the dark horse would be the Sixers.

I don’t how can this happened at least for now considering their salary will consume most of the salary cap of the team. They can possibly do this by lowering their salary or trading away their core players for rookie players to open up more space for their salary.

If this happened, I believe the team that they will enter will surely boost popularity. However, performance is the biggest issue seems it might be the Lakers 2.0 of Lebron.  Cheesy
