The wait is finally over, and unlike the post I shared a few days ago which was from a parody account, this time around it's from Shams Charania himself and LeBron James to going eastside, he's signing with Philadelphia 76ers for 2 years $8million deal... https://x.com/ShamsCharania/status/2080677097463312412This does change everything for the 76ers, imo, doesn't it how much of favorite would they be in the EAST with their current roster ? Going with a 2-year minimum veteran deal is a good decision for LeBron and an advantage for the Philly. I'm more happy for Edgecombe, look at this rookie. He's get to be in the first five together with these champs, Brown and James. LeBrown James - pun intended.

Let's have a look at the possible starting five: - Maxey
- Edgecombe
- Brown
- LeBron
- Embiid
A great roster to do really nice things not only in regular season but also playoffs! Even without Lebron James, the Sixers is already considered to be the Finals contender in the Eastern Conference with the addition of Jaylen Brown and adding Lebron is just like adding a winning mentality to the Sixers. Don't get me wrong but what Lebron brings to the Sixers is huge aside from that 20 PPG that he averaged last season, his experience is very valuable come playoff time and this time he don't need the heavy lifting. All Embiid to do now is to be healthy come playoffs time.

First Jaylen Brown, then LeBron James

I’m not sure what other big moves are left out there. Sort of feels like the main pieces are in place for the season. I’m personally excited to see LaMelo Ball get a chance to show what he can do on a good team. Then obviously Giannis in Miami and LeBron/Brown in Philadelphia will be the major storylines to watch.

Lebron is no longer chasing money; he's already rich and has earned a lot. The move he's made with the 76ers confirms that he wants greatness and another ring. No one has posted this yet, but this is what he posted on his Facebook account. Then obviously Giannis in Miami and LeBron/Brown in Philadelphia will be the major storylines to watch.
Yeah, I've checked the NBA free agent tracker, and there's no longer a player who could match this major news. Westbrook is still a free agent but I don't think it will be big news if he gets to sign.

Ok, I didn't expect LeBron to be with the Sixers. It's one of the least I expected compared to the Warriors, Cavs, and Heat. But what surprised me the most is the salary, just $4M a year. That is a huge bargain. He is a double-digit scorer, and on top of it, he surely generates revenue. Be it on the basketball side or business side, the Sixers won this.
With the addition of Jaylen Brown, one of the top scorers last season, I wouldn't be surprised if the Sixers finally reach the Conference Finals.

Nah, I won't say Philly is the least expected destination for him, if you've been listening to what he has been after at this point of his career. He said he wants to enjoy his remaining time in the league while chasing his 5th ring. Now, if you try to compare the Cavs, Heat, or even the Warriors, and the Sixers, obviously, the Sixers are the most talented team. I mean they have Embiid, Jaylen Brown, and Maxey, now with LeBron, they are 4 stars. On paper, that looks scary. Not to mention VJ Edgecomb, who's young and continuing to improve his game. The huge bargain was expected, but it is still surprising, right? We all know he's 41, but after what he did for the Lakers last season as a third option, I can say he still has an impact when he's on the floor. Imagine him with the Sixers squad. The only issue I can see with this Philly team is the injury. I guess they should put LeBron and Embiid into load management, so they can be healthy for the playoffs. Several teams with new faces this coming NBA season, can't wait to see them.

And this is what King James Has to say: https://x.com/KingJamesAlthough I was surprised to see him choosing Sixers over the Heat and the Cavs. But I guess it makes more sense as the starting 5 might be the best that we have seen in the last 10 years. But then again, as you have said, it's all about Embiid too being healthy all throughout the season. So let's see how it goes, everyone is already reacting to this news, like Maxey who is very pumped hearing it. So let's see how it goes, in paper the team is really good. Very excited to see how Maxey, Jaylen Brown and Lebron in the floor at the same time.

TBH, I already have an idea that he will get at least near the veteran minimum salary because of what he said in the past where he doesn't prioritize the money anymore, but he prioritizes winning a title even more, and looking at the top teams where many are speculating him to land, Philly is the strongest among all of them. Some might say the Cavaliers, but nope not when they got Brown in the mix. Many already picked Philly as the top 3 landing spots for him and TBH, I at one point picked it as well, but anything could change in a short amount of time hence, the trade happened despite hearing some rumors where Lebron will not go to Philly unless they trade Embiid. Sixers won this big time, but the question is, can they win a title in Lebron's first year with the team? If I'll rank them compared to other teams in the East, I'll rank them as 2nd behind the Knicks out of respect towards them because they won the title last regular season. Let's look this pattern from Lebron in the past. - Back when he's on Miami, he didn't won a title in his first season there, but he got it on his 2nd year. - When he went back to Cleveland, he also didn't won a title in his first season when he went back. He got it in his 2nd year. - Same thing in the Lakers. He didn't won a title in his first year, but he got in the 2nd year. There's a pattern where he only win a title in his 2nd year on the specific team, and this also explains why he got a Player Option on his 2nd year because if he sees that there's no changes in the 2nd year of his contract assuming that he will play, and the Sixers got knocked out in the playoffs, he can just opt out on that contract and decide to either end his career or find another team again. Whatever the case is, this long-time await is over. Adam Silver can now finalize his schedules, and other teams can not move on with him and sign other free agents especially the Cavaliers and the Heat.

Last season the sixers were unable to sustain the fourth quarter run with the knicks now that they have Lebron and Brown things will look different, i just think that Maxey will now turn into a pure scoring machine, with his speed and also a shooting the numbers that he has before will climb up, now the passing is not a problem because of LeBron now lets see how those legs is going to sustain because they need to move without the ball, because lebron will going to dish the ball to them.

On the contrary, I think Maxey will be at the sideline and might give Jaylen Brown and Lebron James to time to shine in Philly. He became the first option in Sixers when Joel was injured and obviously can't play and then Paul George being inconsistent. They can't rely on the rookie VJ although he has games that he took over and won it for them. So for now, Maxey might have taken something from his shoulders right now that they have 2 of the best players moving to them. Of course, in the given night he can explode anytime, but I don't think he will turn into a pure scorer, he will be a option but it could be either Brown or James taking most of the offense for them. It's not going to be bad for Maxey, as he could learn from this two. Embiid though needs to be healthy or at least the management will have to make plans that he won't go and play more minutes to protect his body.

IMHO, Lebron finally understood the situation back in the Lakers. The team is no longer building around him but with Luka.
This is only a thought that when you're given less importance by the team, you'll feel that you're neglected and want to move somewhere else.
If this is not Lebron, this guy is no longer going to get the special treatment that he gets. While for these teams that want Lebron on their homes, he's the missing piece now by the 76ers and the rumors tend to be true.
Some key players from the original 2025 Lakers roster are also traded so, Lebron might just go away as the two new stars in the team is Luka and Reaves.

Who would have thought we would see LeBron in a 76ers shirt very soon? You have already shared the details of the agreement. Joking apart, 76ers was already one of the likely teams for his next team. But those news about Miami Heat - LeBron confused people. Let's have a look at the possible starting five: - Maxey
- Edgecombe
- Brown

A great roster to do really nice things not only in regular season but also playoffs! This is why the commentators are much a live again thank god they still have the job they will still have someone to talk to like lebron james, they were holding their breath for a while and now he is in philly they will milk him again and throw lots of stone at him, Lebron is chasing ring, but what do you expect lebron to chase, as a basketball player ofcourse he is, if michael been ask what he is chasing it would be a lie if he is not chasing a championship, even players the good thing before is not everything is in camera that is why we don't know the truth, at the same time imagine throwing stone at MJ get ready to be bash.

After Brown and Lebron, Sixers have come to whole another level. It seems very good now but two problems could arise. Embiid's health and how good a chemistry they can have after Lebron. I love the longevity king but he can cause some problems within the team I think. I think there is a side of him like that. On the other hand, the money he agreed to shows that he cares more than superficial stuff. What an exciting move from him. Whole league has changed with this. We can say Sixers are definitely the best contender of the east now.

And as I check Poly, Sixers and the Knicks are tied now with 23% to win the Eastern Conference finals since Lebron has chosen to play with the Sixers. But as far as the winning the NBA finals, it is still OKC, then the Spurs then Sixers and the Knicks.
So gamblers are now putting some money on the Sixers to win both of that listing or at least the ECF. But we will see, in paper it the Sixers really looks strong but we have to see how their chemistry will be in order to say that they have a good chance to win another ring for Lebron.

And if everyone wanted to know what prediction market right now, here is the updated one: So he chose the team that have the lowest odds? Was this another way to deceive prediction markets? I think it's a great move for Sixers. They've already got Jaylen Brown and better depth than most teams, clearly better than Heat. Even if Embiid gets injured and misses a lot of games, they still have a strong roster. Can Bona fill that position in case Embiid is out? I think they need one more reliable center. On paper it looks like a great roster. LeBron isn't a ball-hog like he used to be. Maxey and Brown will lead this team and LeBron will support them with all his experience.

Have same thoughts to, but it seems that there's no article creator write about possible deceiving on prediction market. It seems that mainstream media somehow expect that Sixers has a chance to be chosen by Lebron. Also yeah Sixers is now in good situation now, knowing that they able to make a great move this season. Brown and the King addition would give them a good shot for possible title next year. But I disagree with you by calling him a ball hog, since actually he's one of best playmaker then at no. 4 rank on all time assist leader. https://www.espn.com/nba/history/leaders/_/stat/assists

I was waiting for LeBron to sign for Heat after some so-called leaks. But it turned out to be only a lie. Seeing him at 76ers felt better though when we think about their possible starting 5. They should be able to fight for the Eastern Conference championship easily after the recent trades. Jaylen Brown and LeBron both will surely add a lot to 76ers!
I don't know if it was mentioned here but Warriors won the Summer League by the way. But I guess it doesn't have so many viewers considering the rosters...

Shocked to say the lest with this decision Even more shocking is the big pay cut he was willing to take to play for the 76ers
Got surprised with his decision, since no one really thinks that he would decide to sign on Sixers. Heat and Cleveland is frontrunner because this is provably good for his retirement. But I'm not surprised with the big pay cut he gets, because he already explain this when he became a free agent. LeBron James is once again dominating NBA conversations, but this time it is not because of a trade or a playoff run. As free agency approaches, a new report has shed light on what matters most to the NBA legend. According to ESPN insider Brian Windhorst, LeBron's biggest priority for the 2026-27 season is “happiness and not money.” The report, shared by RealGM and widely circulated on social media, suggests that the four-time NBA champion may value fit, family and enjoyment more than the biggest possible paycheck. This news is spreading and maybe you are interested to read the full details in this site https://sports.ndtv.com/us/nba/nba-trade-rumor-lebron-james-prioritizing-happiness-and-not-money-ahead-of-2026-offseason-11703980Also amazing to see that their odds to win a champion increased after LBJ signed on Sixers https://www.sportsbookreview.com/picks/nba/76ers-championship-odds-lebron-james
