I want to know what is the best British Bitcoin Exchange:
1. Which GBP based exchange has the biggest volume? 2. Which has the lowest fees and are reliable? 3. Are there any exchanges which don't require my whole detailed IDs to create account?

None of the GBP based exchanges have significant volume. The top of the page I linked to shows the top 6 GBP exchanges for volume. https://bitcoinity.org/markets/localbitcoins/GBPToday they are bit-x, coinfloor, coinbase, anxbtc, kraken, and localbitcoins, starting from the highest volume one first. I don't know what ID they require, but some of them have tiers which require progressively more ID to trade at. The lowest tier at the Kraken and bit-x only requires a phone number but you are limited to trading only a small amount of money each month at that tier.

I would recommend you to use the lazy coins exchange since it is based in the UK.

They are, but I don't how reliable they are. Their topic on bitcointalk is not really alive. And their signature campaign never started AFAIK. (see https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1001536.0)

You may try cryptopay.meThey also give you a bitcoin debit card if you get verified. Prices are not very competitive though but it is a very reliable exchange. Withdrawals are very fast. You might give it a try

There are UK exchanges like Coinfloor, but you still have to wire money to Europe which takes time and costs money as no UK bank will play with them yet. That being the case you may as well go with Kraken or Bitstamp as they'll have the volume and it won't take any longer to get on there. Coinfloor also has deposit and withdrawal fees. Kraken also has the bonus of not requiring full ID stuff on smaller trades.
Lakebtc has introduced some type of peer to peer GBP deposit system that would be effectively instant. No idea how it works and I've never used the exchange but it might be worth a look.
Fidor UK have stated they'll be introducing business accounts so I think the wait for a proper UK exchange may be over soon.

That is my problem I tried many English exchanges and everytime they want scans of my IDs before I even buy something. I thought advanced credentials are needed only I reach certain transaction amount. UK laws are so restrictive...

What you can do with verification ID itself. Still If trader thought to scam you means He can do. Escrow system In between you and trader make you to faith on the trade. Its secured for both parties.

You can't keep a bank account if you're discovered trading a few pounds a month on localbitcoins. Imagine the answer you get if you want to open an exchange. All the attempts have been closed down.

Thanks. That explains why even the exchanges that are registered in the UK, such as Bitstamp or Coinmate have their bank accounts in other countries and don't offer the BTC/GBP trading. I wonder if there's much demand for such a currency pair in the UK ?

There are btc/gbp trading possibilities but it's completely pointless because it still has to go to Europe. You might as well go where the action is even if there are currency conversions on top. It's something of a chicken/egg situation as for demand. There's certainly interest in the UK but very little real commerce without bank interaction. btc-e had a gbp market for a while but the volume was so pitiful they called it a day.
