Is this just the deal with mining litecoins?

The pool I'm using shows thayt I' generating  a hash rate and that I actually found a block, but all shares say "rejected"

Are you use you use scrypt?
What miner and how do you start it (what keys or options you use)

While reading what I wrote, use the most friendliest and relaxing voice in your head.

Yep, as above if you don't specify scrypt in the command line or the .conf it'll just be rejected blocks/shares.

Your hash rate should be very very low too.  If you are seeing more than 1 mhash or 1000khash it's wrong, unless you have serious power. 10gh on btc is only 10mh on litecoin.
