The block chain is the main innovation of Bitcoin. It is the first distributed timestamping system.

he is also promoting adidas ... we may donate some coins for him not appearing in movies for 10 years, at least

If you don't own the private keys, you don't own the coins.

Good, good, now for our devious plan: Lets edit this frame-by frame into the movie and hijack the torrent by inserting the edited footage by cracking their hashes with spare bitcoin mining power.

Seeing Bitcoin used in a blockbuster movie would be a major milestone and one of the more effective ways to spread awareness.  Only problem is that it would most likely be used in some kind of drug/kidnapping/ransom scenario.

The Bitcoin Foundation should use some donation money to do a preemptive Bitcoin product placement where the usage is non-controversial, so that the first recorded instance of Bitcoin in movies is unequivocally and universally perceived as positive.

Ha ha, excellent!

Perhaps in 2015, Bitcoins will even be seen to be used "a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away....", thus revealing the extraterrestrial time-travelling origins of Satoshi Cheesy

More seriously, the Wachowskis have an anarchist anti-authoritarian streak.  My guess is that they are best candidates for being the first to use a cryptocurrency in a film.

Comic books would also be a good pop culture medium for spreading the word.  If only Bitcoin had been arround when Alan Moore wrote V for Vendetta, I'd expect Bitcoins would've been the chosen method for shielding V's anonymity in commercial transactions.

Undoubtedly the nature and history of Bitcoin lends itself to many interesting plots, if not for a movie, then at least an hour-long documentary...
