But I think you have got it th wrong way. The customers are the ones who like to hide their identity and are likely to pay with bitcoin. Pros. . would just like to learn on how to accept one such payment means. They don't care about their anonymity much as its mostly just cash transactions for them. The customer is who cares about it.

I already see the next headlines, < Bitcoin CEO gets FREE sex in jail every day! > This time he will be on the receiving side of things. ^LoL^ There are more people behind this, and he still gets some support from somewhere. I would not be surprised, if he was the fall guy for some other fat cats.
Someone should write a article to discredit all these journalist making these absurd CEO statements. I see Andreas tweeted about this too.

So it wasnt just the gox depositers that got fucked then
It's a circle fuck I guess, I would not put it past Karpeles to go get some action using Bitcoin funds. Haven't looked at the settlement of Bitcoins in a long time as well so I might need to check on whats occuring in the Gox Case later.

http://insidebitcoins.com/news/the-party-ends-for-mark-karpeles/35536October 28, 2015, Former Mt Gox CEO Mark Karpeles was re-arrested for suspicious activity involved with moving embezzled funds to his personal accounts. Japanese media reports again the new arrest of the infamous “Magical Tux” as the “CEO of Bitcoin” and supposedly he had quite the run with Prostitutes during his last release time. So, Mark Karpeles was out on bail and opted to transfer some bitcoins to his bank account that, BTW, wasn't locked, and used some of the money to get his pee-pee wet. You like how the authorities in Japan aren't doing a good job of keeping him on a leash? lol Unfrozen bank account lol...omg almost 2 years later and he has access to his bank account and bitcoin related to MTGOX? WHAT A JOKE!

Well at least the fun are now short-lived. Enjoy it while it lasts. What is most depressing is that those people who actually lost their money have no way to recover back the coins and now after reading this news, it will make it even worse. Also I wonder if there are still some amount getting stashed away waiting to be recovered.

What if magic tux IS satoshi O_O
I think it might just be best if satoshi stays gone. If the people who hate bitcoin can tie anything to satoshi they will use it to harm bitcoin.
That would make no sense why he felt to steal the 880k coins, or maaybe he has lost his other million and thought this was a fair deal? Maybe satoshi doesnt have 1m btc :/ Thats just what people say, but no one knows.

Be radical, have principles, be absolute, be that which the bourgeoisie calls an extremist: give yourself without counting or calculating, don't accept what they call ‘the reality of life' and act in such a way that you won't be accepted by that kind of ‘life', never abandon the principle of struggle.

This is the funniest shit i've seen in a while. I live in japan and I just said recently that in Japan they are saying on the news that "Bitcoin CEO was arrested" and that "Bitcoin went bankrupt". The poor idiots still don't understand anything. But my friends this is great news! imagine how far ahead of the pack we are by even owning 1 Bitcoin. We are years beyond the understanding of the common population. Everyone in here will be rich in the future.

even in 2015, the majority of noobs ... store bitcoin on virtual wallet (or crappy phone with game malware pollution).
What's a virtual wallet? Seriously, getting bored of the word "virtual". It makes bitcoin seem like it doesn't really exist by calling it "virtual coins". It's either digital or nothing to be honest, I don't want media to use lame words to make sound bitcoin even more sketchy than it sometimes can be (this is cause of human error, not code). Newsarticles should learn wtf they are talking about before posting shit like "virtual currency" and "bitcoin ceo".

Prostitute always want to hide their idendity so bitcoin will be good option for them. And I think he have spended some Of those coins to show those prostitute an example. Wrong I think. Cash is still way better than Bitcoin for anonymity if you are going to pay in real life. What would a prostitute benefit from if it got recorded in a public ledger? Until we have real anonymity accessible by normal people, I think cash will reign supreme for such services.

They charged him with embezzling funds which he used to buy a four poster bed. It would be ironic if he used it for sleeping with the prostitutes paid for with more embezzled funds, and the prosecutors proved it in court. I wonder if he purchased blow off the Silk Road with yet more embezzled funds, and if we will find him being charged with it in a few more weeks.

I wonder actually how many japanese people would have heard of Bitcoin and if they have heard it, if they know who the CEO of Bitcoin is. I think that unfortunately TV is still very important in nowadays news, so if the average guy gets his news from TV because all he does on the internet is instagram, he may actually believe Karpeles was the CEO of BTC and he is now in jail.
It's not a problem in my view that there are many ignorant or "average guys" out there. Let whoever is not willing to do their own research believe in what they believe. It will only be of advantage to us. Bitcoin mass adoption will take a few more years anyway. While we should inform anyone who is asking and share our knowledge (like we often do on bitcointalk) there is no mission we should go on to educate the masses about alternative financial instruments. Let's make some money for the time being. Hodl, invest, learn, trade, start projects, mine, code, communicate, form communities but don't do BTC's marketing. (Let the magical Bitcoin CEO do it for you! j/k)

The amount involved is huge. I do not think this is the only "thing" that he bought.
CEO stands for "Corrupt Executive Officer"...
