How can I anonymously exchange BTC for cash and vice versa without sending cash

I don't really understand the question.

You want to exchange cash for BTC, but you don't want to mail it, and you don't want a face-to-face meeting either.

So how is the exchange going to work? The only way I could imagine would be a Bitcoin vending machine, but as far as I know such a thing doesn't exist.
