You can empty a wallet using the Manage wallet | Empty wallet but you cannot delete a wallet no.

We found from MultiBit Classic that deleting wallets was too dangerous.
Early versions of MultiBit Classic had a very thorough 'Delete wallet' that secure deleted all copies of all wallets.
It even had a warning screen explaining that 'Delete was forever'. The user had to enter the name of the creator of Bitcoin for it to execute (to stop young children doing it accidentally).
Even with this we would still get support queries asking us to 'undelete' their wallet for them. This was of course impossible and people lost bitcoin.

All the wallet / contact / transaction information is encrypted on disk so without the password it is all just gobbledegook.

MultiBit HD   Lightweight desktop client.                    Bitcoin Solutions Ltd   Bespoke software. Consultancy.

Might be a silly question, but why would you delete a wallet?  Is it when you have no bits left in it, and never want to use it anymore?

yes
instead of deleting a wallet, move all your fund to a new wallet? Or a client?
And multibit HD can use different address for every transaction, so what's the need of deleting a wallet? Huh
