have gemini and coinbase, but like gemini better for some reason
Probably 'cuz coinbase charging 1% buying fee and Gemini appears to be only 0.25% fee.
On a $1000 worth of bitcoin purchase, that translates to $2.50 out of pocket versus $10 bucks, savings of $7.50 isn't bad: especially considering Gem's website user interface is much cooler
Of course this is coinbase's "retail" fee... not sure what they charge on their "EXCHANGE" since that's not available to me in Michigan yet (Gemini IS already open for business in Michigan).
Anyway, IMHO having *multiple* buying source options is the main important point, mostly so that HOPEFULLY that nonsense that *certain* companies (cough*coinbase*cough) have reportedly been able to pull against some customers, i.e. closing accounts for allegedly sending or receiving bitcoin to "bad" addresses etc, will have to stop IF people can just say, "Screw you I'll buy my coins elsewhere where I'm not treated like a criminal for ordinary legal transactions..."
More choices = always better.
Let competition flourish and FEES come DOWN!
