I'm reading the TOS and you do not mention Bitcoin in accepted payment methods. I thought bitcoin is supported, at least during order/checkout I could choose between CC/PP and BTC if I remember that right

did I just finished registration over plain text http connection?

I can haz https next time, please?

Payment - BTC is accepted at time of payment, however thank you for pointing out that we have not added BTC to the payment options list.

HTTPS - HTTPS is enabled during payment, however HTTPS will be activated next week with the implementation of our new CDN.

HTTPS across CDN is not straight forward unfortunately.

Regards,
Quantum Kiwi - Josh

Hi Josh

is it possible to split web and mail hosting? that domain I used to register with your service has a google mail running somewhere that would be pity to drop at the moment. not sure if appropriate to open an issue right away, how to communicate this best to you?

thanks

(I mean I want to point the DNS records as shown in the admin panel but google wants the MX records pointing their way otherwise mail won't work. good news is that's not an issue yet, I lost that domain for one or two years so the google accounts are sleeping atm. just would like to reactivate them while testing the web hosting part of the deal)

and thanks for the https explanation, I hoped it would be something like that but it was early in the morning/late night and I could not write something less stupid or look closely how the site works

Hi
you deactivated my account as soon as I started using your service.
Truth is I started using it several months after applying for it but once I got through your cPanel thing and configured a domain and a subdomain, next day you suspend it?

I'm sorry but not going to promote you nor upgrading to a paid program. All I need is few MB space for uploading pics of mining stats for a dozen of friends who share a rig, low traffic, not worth your best commercial offer.

and there was no reply from your advertized chat. I see my value as free riding customer but all I wanted is a working ftp and few MB space/traffic.

your timing was the worst thing. if you'd cancel the service before I spent time to learn your environment and actually directed the domain name your direction there would be less damage.

regards

Hi Binford

Sorry to hear about your service getting suspended, its probably because it was inactive for a month - Our system only suspends accounts that have been inactive for just over 1 month. Sometimes its 2 months depending on how many accounts are idle.

I don't really see the point in you replying to a thread that is, indeed fairly old - We are happy to have a chat via PM or email.

Our sales staff were in a meeting unfortunately at the time of when you requested a live chat - My apologies, we cannot have staff on live chat 24/7 its not efficient for our traffic.

Thanks for your reply anyway, feel free to contact us via support ticket, email or live chat and we can unsuspend your account.... Its no problem at all!

Best Regards,
The Quantum Kiwi Team

Hi,

it makes sense for me to reply here since this thread was promoting the offer I accepted and only the two of us read this thread.

you deactivated the account the very moment (few days after) I started using it.

feel free to check the timeline. I got accepted in November, started using it in April. less then week after configuring stuff, adding subdomain, making index html files, testing access - you cancel the service

if you would drop me as a customer in January/February (what ever you claim is the period of inactivity you check) I would not care.
what sucks is being noticed to start using your freebie and getting shut. it took me (us) time to get organized.

I was postponing use of the chat for days for the staff being available (I live in EU and when I work on hobby projects NZ is asleep), so one day I started early, fired up the chat and waited for hours for no reply from you. can PM you the dates and forward you the mails from the chat bot that sends the chat details to customers. in fact the connection dropped after hours of waiting thus I got the robot mails from you. It's been hours of waiting and you did not care. Again, I can understand not replying to a client who waked up from limbo and pays nothing. All I was asking you for was to reconsider the service cancellation since I just started using the service, contrary to your observation.

major reason I write here is that your support is doing bad/poor job (not replying at all).
regards

Sorry Ill ask this again, Can you please contact us via support ticket, email or PM.

We no longer offer free hosting, However we have NO PROBLEM WITH UNSUSPENDING YOUR ACCOUNT IF YOU LET US KNOW YOUR DETAILS.

Seriously its not that bigger of a deal if your site is suspended we can just unsuspend it.....?

Our system which looks for inactivity and suspends idle accounts over a month IS AUTOMATED, WE DID NOT INTENTIONALLY SUSPEND YOUR SERVICE BECAUSE YOU STARTED USING IT.

Our support team is not doing a bad job, they are doing a perfect job actually - We have not received an email, nor a message from you with your details.

Please, in future email or send in a support ticket... And do consider the fact your getting FREE HOSTING.

I will also repeat the fact - We are happy to unsuspend your account.

Best Regards,
Quantum Kiwi CEO - Logan

We still have not received any account information

Would you like to send us your details??

We no longer offer free hosting as people abused the free service and expected support like they are paying for hosting... We are not here to develop a website for free...

We are also not a service to abuse. That is why we now only offer paid premium cloud hosting.
