I don't know what you think, but i think that other cryptocoins are just a "little-brake" for the BTC growth. If BTC is world-wide crypto coin, why so the need to make other one?

And, sure, the first wide-known cryptomoney will be BTC, coz is the most known. Have u a little idea about the time need other cryptocoin to be wide-known? BTC has been the first on market, and except some forks, will be the leader.

Like you said, bitcoin was first, and to me, it's the only original...
Some of the clones will live on (in my opinion), but only a very limited amount of them (for example, litecoin).

In 5 years, bitcoin will still exist, maybe 10% of the current altcoins, and 100's of new altcoins that will also be gone in a couple of years...

Of course bitcoin is the best among all the crypto currencies. And it was the first crypto currency ever invited. No other coins can beat bitcoin, IMO.

I think people create new crypto coins hoping to gain from being the creator (like Satoshi) and hoping that the price will somewhat increase just like bitcoin. However, I think most of the coins are lacking the network effect that bitcoin is enjoying at the moment.

Nothing beats the original bro. Everything else is a copy if not then a copy with some modification. It all started in bitcoin and we have to leave the title to the first one.

I think that there is nothing wrong with that other cryptocurrencies are appearing. Most of them vanish into oblivion over time but some of them stay and become acceptable.

Bitcoin is the first cryptocoin and is the only one that is going to succeed due to the attention from mainstream media. However, alt coins are still beneficial for Bitcoin. They can help to experiment the algorithm, block time or even scenario when block rewards are gone.

I have about 3 millions bunnycoins given by a friend. However, I don't even know how to access the bunnycoin blockchain. I guess the biggest limitation of alt-coin is the lack of "infrastructure" that built around them. Maybe Litecoin and Dogecoin are the only bigger ones.

When I first got into crypto, I honestly believed that some other alt coin can make it besides Bitcoin as well. Now I have completely changed my mind. World ain't ready even for Bitcoin at the moment and not for some other more complicated coins. World ain't ready even to send simple transactions, and not something more.

Second thing is a user base. For example, Bitshares forum has only 10k registered users,  NXT forum 5k, etc. This is peanuts, this is nothing. For a moment and for a near future to come, Bitcoin is the only one.

Bitcoin is the only great one, after that i consider Litecoin the next best but nothing compares to BTC.  Crypto Market cap is 90% bitcoin atm and i think thats how it will end up.

5 years from now BTCitcoin will be much more popular and accepted worldwide while there might be two or three other coins still there but nothing like same route as to bitcoin ... the problem with all this new altcoins that pop up out of nowhere day after day is many just start it with little to no knowledge at all and the result are there for us to see ... just hope they won't start a new coin just for the sake of creating their own coin ... its not professional at all and I think it damages the value of real cryptocoins

Bitcoin was, is, and always will be the best cryptocurrency there is, that's why other coins are called alts because it is an alternative of bitcoin. Other coins might provide new features missing from bitcoin but still you can't deny the fact that bitcoin is still the most preffered crypto over other alts.

Alternative cryptocurrencies are just competitors and some are created in hope for a similar explosion in value. Like litecoin for example it is designed intended to be more efficiently mined and faster to conduct transactions than bitcoin. Since bitcoin has been around for 7 yrs. i have high hopes things would be much better in another 5 years.

other cryptocoin just for an alternate like what its name,altcoin , and i think it didnt affect to bitcoin because of majority exchanges their altcoin to bitcoin at the end, so altcoin is not a big problem

Ever used Facebook and thought...hmm, I like Facebook but I wish I could <insert X awesome idea here>. Did you ever think, if only I had the source code I would copy Facebook and add my idea and then everyone would rush to join my Facebook because it is so much more super awesome and as an added bonus, I become super rich.

Bitcoin does provide the source code. The alt creators are still waiting for their alternative Facebook to take over. Not realizing that if their idea was so super awesome that Facebook started losing market share, they would just add that feature to Facebook and that's the end of your awesome clone.

Fact is we never ask or request for the other coins to be made. Since bitcoin code is open source, there is probably nothing we can do about it to stop the creation of the other cryptos. I haven't really seen one that introduces the best feature or solutions to bitcoin's problem. In fact they all share the same core issue and the major problem is that these coins have been giving bitcoin the negative perception in a way.
