i don't know but gambling at the first time invented , intended to be an entertainment only.

I dont think you are totally right, in the past gambling are made by human/people even though gambling was not introduced, some people will gambling with their friend, the only one who will not touch gambling is the person haven't likes gambling even they has know about gambling.
