We have been doing twitter promotions for a very long time (More than 4 years in general, and 3 years i crypto).
It's easy to spot fake followers when you scroll through followers tab.

In ~5 minutes you can scroll through 1000 followers, so it's not that hard. But it takes time to audit accounts with big followings.
