On the Bitcoin venture capital listing it seems they have not been added yet but that data is only up to date until October 19th.
That saids its going to be a good number to add to the list, as I have been tracking to see if it hits the 1 billion total by the end of this year in declared venture funding.
Thanks for the share

In addition is there an English version of the whitepaper only found the one in manadarin

Interesting, we have been doing the same thing. http://www.8btc.com/vc

1. Actually, Antshares is the 3rd startups that 8btc acted as the major media outlets to spread the words and 8btc forum as the community base. I will see if there is an English version available.
2. 1st startup is the Smartcoin team:
Subforum on 8btc:  http://8btc.com/forum-113-1.html
they raised 1,000 btc in a month:智能坊众筹进度
http://8btc.com/thread-19717-1-1.html

3. 2nd startup is the Bifu.me, they raised 200 btc in 2 days :
Pre-IPO interview with founder of bifu: http://www.8btc.com/bifu-liguopan
IPO completed plus scam warning: 币富网众筹已圆满结束,请投资者警惕骗子

The chinese is going to end up dominating the Bitcoin ecosystem unless the idiotic governments on the rest of the countries don't wake up and start being 100% pro Bitcoin and dropping billions on VC (as well as buying actual BTC as a form of collateral when their fiat fails).

Other than mining and questionable exchanges, it really doesn't look like there is any type of ecosystem in China remotely comparable to the US. There's nothing you can do with in China other than mine or trade it. There's no commerce, hardly any full nodes and I can't think of many or any Bitcoin innovations that they've come up with. If the government did give a cautious blessing then look out.

Didn't really understand what's this company all about from the translation of the article, but they must be up to something good to raise so many funds in a short amount of time... Chinese people aren't crazy when they go all in on something.

I thought they had a rep as degenerate gamblers as late 2013 and the recent stock market madness amply demonstrated.

Yes, they are huge gamblers, but as we all know they go big on mining facilities... And they don't do it just because they can, they want to succeed and have huge profits. I think the same is happening here due to the respectable quantity of funds they've managed to throw at this company... They must have something big going on. I think it's impossible that all those 2100 BTC were a result of gambling... Cheesy

You are probably right. Speculation is still primary concern and we are short of development talents especially with BAT absorbing most of the developers in China.
As far as I know, they deployed full nodes at servers outside China.
In terms of innovation, we are happy to see that the flourishing of startups in China with blockchain.
8btc had a meetup last weekend with reps from major VCs in China. Below is the live coverage(in Chinese) but you can always understand the pictures.

I don't really know what this company is about as I was unable to translate it but by the looks of it, and the fact they managed to raise that much funds in 10 days, it seems that they are a pretty decent company if people are willing to invest their hard earned cash into it. The Chinese are very good with investment, but I thought that most Chinese companies related to Bitcoin were Bitcoin mining companies. I've mostly heard of those companies.

Thanks the accounting totals are different Bifu and Smartcoin did not show up on Coindesk but Coindesk still has a higher total number so it is interesting. That said there are always little nuances that are due to language differences so perhaps it is listed but your link has a neat tracker in bubble form thanks for sharing that and I'll be sure to keep track of that one as well.
