I was wondering when I can post images in threads.
I was planning to open my design service and post a topic about it.

I need to post around 11 images since thread is long and sliced into small images for faster loading.

I want to know when I can post and is there any limit for images to be used.

Also need to know where can I change my avatar

In order to get the maximum amount of activity points possible, you just need to post once per day on average. Skipping days is OK as long as you maintain the average.

Read this: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1172918.0 . Newbies cannot post/embed images, you need to wait until you upgrade to Jr. Member which takes 2 activity periods more, i.e nearly 1 more month.
Edit: For avatar you need to wait until Full member which takes ~3 months if you post consistently , then you can upload an avatar here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=avatar
It was disabled for lower members because of  forum hack.

You don't get an avatar for quite some time. I think you may have to wait until full member. As for images, your links will show up. You could ask a more senior member to quote your post and then they'll show up as images.

Okay, considering that I made an account less then 24 hours ago and I have 8 activity points.
It should take me less then a week if I'm consistent.
About avatar, yes it will take me a while.
When was the forum hacked!

That's nice.
I'll post in my thread for someone with higher rank to quote it.
Thank you

When was the forum hacked!
1) Activity is fixed per activity period, maximum activity you can gain is 14 per 2 weeks.
2) Forum was hacked because of the avatars not a reliable source but couldn't find anything better: http://thehackernews.com/2013/10/bitcoin-talk-forum-hacked-database-for.html

It was patched up pretty quick, also nearly everyone has changed their passowords since then and even if your account was hacked during the fiasco, you could recover it by sending a signed message from your staked address.
P.S: If you're interested, create a thread in Meta about it, this is not a place to talk about the forum. And as your "issue" has been dealt with, lock this thread to avoid unnecessary discussion
