I am not sure how many people are active in the press board, but one madcap has deleted most of the posts made in the self-moderated threads there.

The op could do with keeping a closer eye on people or barring certain sections. Most make decent posts but I think a few have figured out they'll get paid for spammy posts too so don't bother.
