Not sure why armory is showing me this beautiful amount of bitcoins but it is. Don't worry they are unspendable lol Already tried to send myself a few million.

Has this ever happened to any of you?

seems to be a bug in armory and not bitcoin protocols..

i seem to remember if you used the 'move' command instead of transfering funds using addresses. it would sometimes cause a minus balance on some and a plus balance on others (within a program, not the actual blockchain bitcoin addresses)

did you use any features like this instead of just sending funds to new addresses the proper bitcoin transaction method.. as that might explain armory's glitch with its accounting.

(forgive me, never used armory so not sure if it uses all of the bitcoinD RPC commands)

I DO NOT TRADE OR ACT AS ESCROW ON THIS FORUM EVER.
Please do your own research & respect what is written here as both opinion & information gleaned from experience. many people replying with insults but no on-topic content substance, automatically are 'facepalmed' and yawned at

If you would've been able to spend those, you would've literally broken bitcoin single handedly.

So who is now getting armory to try and replicate this bug? Just for lulz.

Well that's awesome! Actually a bit disappointing that they're unspendable. If they weren't would you have given them out for free? What would you have done? Smiley

Yeah, but if he just destroyed the coins and the decs fixed the exploit then I guess it wouldn't crash.

Ofcourse it would, once it gets out that after 6 years, coins can be created out of thin air, people will be scrambling to get out..

One of the worst things that can happen at this stage I guess.

It is a nice bug for the holders. Unfortunately you cannot spend it as it is not recognized by the network. Please report to the developers.

OMG you're so lucky, oh wait, it didn't work, how sad. If I saw that number in my Bitcoin wallet I would have absolutely shat my pants. How unfortunate that you couldn't spend it. Imagine that you got that amount and you could actually spend it, what would you do?
