This is an interesting Coin. Is it still Solo mineable?
Sure. And it's quite simple.
To solo mine connect your miner(s) directly to the 611d rpc port 8663 with your rpc username and password (it's defined in the 611.conf configuration file). That's it. You're ready to go.
If you like to optimize your mining profit of
611 (SixEleven), I can recommend you to take a look at the following open source project:
P2PoolP2Pool allows you to merge-mine
611 (SixEleven) together with
Bitcoin at no additional cost. So you have both profit
Running a local copy of
P2Pool allows you to mine
BTC blocks together with other miners within a large peer to peer network, so your
BTC mining revenue should be roughly the same like mining using other
Bitcoin pools.
In order to merge-mine using
P2Pool you have to install, setup and run the current blockchains of
Bitcoin and
611 (SixEleven) (and optional: any other altcoin supporting merged mining) and the
P2Pool software.
In case all desired coin daemons are running, tryout the following command to setup your own
P2Pool:
~/p2pool/run_p2pool.py --give-author 0.5 bitcoinrpc YourBitcoinRpcPass --merged http://sixelevenrpc:Your611RpcPass@127.0.0.1:8663 -f 0 --max-conns 22 --outgoing-conns 11 --debug
Wait a few minutes allowing
P2Pool to synchronize with the other network nodes and then point your stratum compatible miners to the tcp port 9332; username is any valid bitcoin address; password does not matter - like:
./cudaminer -o stratum+tcp://MyIpAddress:9332 -O 15...:thisisnopass
Using the default configuration parameters, mining profits should go to your username bitcoin address and the local 611 wallet.
Please share your results or let us know if you need any help with the setup...
