They use private keys at 0 diff

Doesn't that mean it's trivial to rewrite the blockchain and double-spend successfully?

You can fork all you want, but the clients will use their hard coded public keys to check the blocks

Paycorn did it with their prime node bs

See https://github.com/PaycoinFoundation/paycoin/blob/master/src/mpkeys.cpp

Now if the idiots lose their private keys, they'll have to force their own fork to roll them

Oh, I see. So *we* can't rewrite history but *they* can. Why even bother using a blockchain if a single entity has complete control of it? Why use proof of work if the difficulty is fixed at zero? It all sounds incredibly dodgy.

I especially liked the part where they claim the wallet is open source, but then don't make the source available "because security". Like it's secure to download and run random binaries from the Internets?

Yeah we used to be afraid of bankchains but they're really nothing like bitcoin. They may make the bank more efficient internally but outside it's a closed source fiat. Same as paypal.

Ok, it seems 1 btc = 650 VOX, so approximately 0.60 usd

Anyone who wants to fund my VOX wallet, please send your btc to this address:

Tips, love letters/hate btc bombs in the form of satoshi will be well received. I know I won't be using my own btc so... Wink

When will Voxels be on exchanges ? I thought it would begin on March 1st.

It's available to purchase through uphold ( uphold.com ). And it's listed on bittrex already. And I believe another exchange... Can't recall. Although u can purchase through uphold. You cannot sell it or trade it publicly until March 30th. For some reason I too thought it was open season. On march 1st.

Hi everyone, I wanted to take a moment to post some updates since March is here! From all the emails I receive regarding Voxels, I know many of you are very excited and for good reason, as things are starting to heat up quickly and the buzz on Voxels is pretty strong.

First, Voxels is going to be updated this week to further secure the Blockchain. We are updating the codebase, adding some patches and increasing security measures. Once we are finished with the updates, we will be passing the code to Uphold for a final review. After Uphold finishes their review of the new Voxels (which should only take a few days), we will get the updated source code and wallets to the exchanges. At the same time we want to start getting the new Voxels wallets to you guys. This means anyone here with Vox in a Voxels wallet should contact me directly via PM or email, this way I can make sure you get the new wallet right away. For those of you who currently have Voxels in a wallet on your computer, upgrading to the new Voxels wallets will be as simple as downloading and running the new wallet on the same computer that already has your original Voxels wallet on it. During this update, Voxels will not experience any downtime whatsoever and integration will be seamless.

Second, the exchanges are ready for Voxels! Bittrex will be ready to launch trading as soon as we give them the word! My understanding is Shapeshift will allow Voxels, and at this time Uphold is already allowing the purchase of Voxels. There are a couple other exchanges as well that are in the mix, one of them being Livecoin. I'll let everyone know more on that when we get there.  If you have an exchange you want us to contact for the listing of Voxels, please let me know.

Third, Voxelus and it's creators will be attending GDC in San Francisco on March 14-18 www.gdconf.com to display live demos of the Voxelus Builder, the Voxelus Viewer, the Voxelus Marketplace as well as Voxels (wallets).  These fully live demos will be shown to the press and attendees of GDC. We expect to hear a ton of news coverage on Voxelus right after that.

Finally, As long as we don't run into any problems, everything will launch as expected this month! (March)

Once again don't forget, current Voxels holders, start reaching out to me so I can make sure you get the new wallets as soon as they are ready.

Thank everyone, I'll have another update soon,
Jim Blasko

(originally in this post back in March I included Poloniex , I have removed it since the information was incorrect.)
