Price is up because of halving? Possible explanation

during LTC halving period, the price boost very much in months before halving...
is what we are experiencing a big halving hype, maybe miners buying in to compensate for any downfall from the halving?

This maybe right. But thwn what if the price suddenly drop after the halving? I doubt the hype we are experiencing now and I am quite unsure of what would happen next.
