Hi all,

Just wondering what kind of power supply would be recommended to run x 2 of the above cards.  Do you think I'll get away with a 450watt? or should i be looking at atleast a 600watt?

Steve.

If you're talking about the Radeon 5870 then I'd put a bit more than 600 watts just to be safe, looks like a pretty powerful card.

600W will do just fine.

One 5870 clocked at 940Mhz Core is about 210W

So 2x210W = 420 + 100W for the MB+CPU+HDD = 520W minimum
these calcs depend on CPU .. if you use some 125+W multi core monster U probably will need a little more power, but 600 will do pretty much anything.

A 600 or 650W power supply from a reputable company should be fine. Corsair and Antec are two of the brands that I would trust to deliver the stable wattage that they claim to offer.
