Now there is a petition on change.org for people to demand recognition of bitcoin with an ISO 4217 three-letter currency symbol:

Thank you everyone for signing - 72 signatures now!

Do you think I set the target (100,000 signatures) too high?  Should I change it to 10,000 or even 1,000?

Or can we find 100,000?  The biggest petitions usually get mentioned in the newspapers and slashdot - can anybody do that?

100k is spot of if you can reach every active bitcoin user and assume atleast a third particapate, sadly this forum is not enought to accomplish that.

can someone explain what the benefit of this would be? (signed btw) i have never heard of SIX before and i don't really see what the benefit would or how it not having a sign in SIX is a disadvantage. i would like to understand so i can explain it to my friends.
