So I recently checked the bitcoin price on bitstamp then saw that we are already in $390+ . It's funny how I thought just last week that it is impossible to get the price doubled in just a short period of time. I guess I'm wrong on that part. It scares me tho, how the price increases too fast and how it also loose a price of $50 from one second to another. What do you guys think? Will this continue or not? I think it is possible to even get the price triple from the price it is on last weel.

I think it is possible to even get the price triple from the price it is on last weel. I think anything is possible with regard to PRICE. PRICE can go just about anywhere in the short term. I'm not seeing much in the way of underlying VALUE drivers, though. This rally is built on...well, not much, really. Of course, I happen to think bitcoin was undervalued in the $230 range. Using a crude an untested strategy, I would estimate a VALUE of about $420-440 right now based on my guess of bitcoins future share of remittance markets along with global M0 and M1 money supply. That said, I think there are frequently wild snapbacks and rallies where PRICE pretty much ignores VALUE. And I (just like everybody else) am guessing with my stab at intrinsic value.

I am nearly sure we will see $400 today. It will be interesting watching the support gets stronger at the $400 level to maintain it for as long as possible.

I don't think that a fair value can be formed for Bitcoin. What we do know is that large investments are being made into crypto, and that the total value of all bitcoins is still low. That should put a floor on the value, there is no ceiling, even a small diversification of investments into bitcoin could see the price increase 10fold.
I think the price will rise and correct, but I don't know how high we will rise, hopefully higher than $400 though!

Great! It seems the market turns to be optimistic! Ppl are buying up bitcoin! The question is when the price will come to the ceiling where the speculators may dump their holdings and scoop the profits!

But that pretty much means that btc will have nearly no impact and worth to the world economy. We are just getting ready to leave the stealth phase ^_+ Well, it means that bitcoin currently HAS very little impact, not that it never WILL. Again, I'm looking at M0 and M1 money supply and trying to calculate a value based on usage. There really isn't much usage compared to the total global $16 trillion money supply. In my OPINION (not fact, just opinion), many of the folks who I've seen speculating on these calculations are probably including things like mining transactions in their volume and velocity calculations. For what it's worth, I'm thinking $2500-3500 in the range of 2019 or possibly 2020. But that probably assumes that we get past some of the block size and transaction time issues. Ultimately, I'm very concerned that many people get confused between bitcoin and the underlying blockchain. Blockchain is here to STAY. Bitcoin is just one of many possible manifestations. Speculating on bitcoin is just one way of many to "bet" on the blockchain. And it may not be the best.

Who would have expected this right? Just about a month ago the price was stuck at sub-$250. I wonder where this buying is coming from, speculators too?

I'm not even mad to see that price and some bear traps, but it feels like this is something that will hold its own for long. Just hope that the price wouldn't flash crash gradually. :/

The price of bitcoin appreciates quite a lot recently. The price has been around $250 for about a year, which forms a very solid basis. The price may go up a lot this time.

I don't think it reached $400 today, highest I've seen is $394 then it went down to $386, maybe it's too soon for us to celebrate in reaching $400, give it more time we will be there

It's going to touch $400 today, that's a certainty. I bet you 0.01 that it does, how about those odds? The market is bullish and will remain so until it's hit $420 or so at least, I think. I can see this riding up.

Two years ago near the end of the bubble we grew with $100 per day, shortly afterwards we dropped even faster, but it never drops to below where the bubble started in the first place. Just hold on to your Bitcoin, sell a bit when the top is reached (don't expect a top below $2500) and buy back when it inevitably dips back to $1500 or so.

It's $393 now. It hurts to see the price now as I sold my bitcoins just few days back when the price was $325. I will now just hold the coins I earn and not sell them as I can see the price increasing to about $430-$450. I just said few days back that we won't reach $350 also because I never expected it to reach this amount so soon.

You will regret selling them at $430-$450. You will always regret not matter what, unless you go long term because that's the only way to not end up feeling like a moron that sold too soon for some filthy dollars. I would just hold specially if it's money you can afford to lose (or if you really need those extra dollars for some reason).
