I like seeing this bubble pop.  Was glad I didn't buy 450+ like some of the people who did and are holding the bag now.  Get ready to buy low soon.  Btc <100 in a few days

Why would you say things like that new people may think is true, it doesn't help build a community or a foundation for bitcoin?

The low was $293 and if you missed that, the boat may have sailed already. Sad

I agree that he shouldn't say things like that. Bitcoin price may experience considerable price changes as it's struggling to stabilize the itself and I admit that this can't be consider a bubble yet

Any specific reason why you want the bitcoin price to drop. You are lucky that you did not buy in $450.
Do you believe the bitcoin price will be <100 within days?
I can bet against you that the bitcoin price will not be below $100 for any 24 hour period in 30 days. There is chance of flash crash, but the below $100 price will stay long.

If bitcoin drops below 100$ it means that there is a problem with it.
The lowest price for more than one year has been ~250$

Oh my bad...
But still I guess this was not a normal event.
I'm talking about a steady price, fluctuations are normal and Bitcoin is still too small to soften them.

it was manipulated, because it was only on one exchange, i don't trust a value that appear on a single exchange

so no the lowest was still above 200, i can not see how it is going sub 230, when we are still above 300

Things change quickly in bitcoin world. A few days ago, I think the price will fluctuate around $370. Now the price is $310.

Maybe the MMM Ponzi has crashed!

Another person dreaming with open eyes but it will not be easy to get low price this because it has very stable price above $300 with very large buy support so you will keep dreaming about this until price will go more up $500 is coming soon.

I hope the price stays here or go to the moon, but let's face it, the downtrend has started and I played my buy orders in the 250 area

Bitcoin is a bubble. There's no doubt about it. +20% in one day, oh please. The problem is, we dont know whether bitcoin will regain a foothold after it pops, or even when it's going to pop.

I don't think bitcoin's going to pop anytime soon, with tho
The current mass adoption, but I think we will see a big drop sometime in the next few years.

big drops after a while is quite common in my opinion but the bitcoin's price will tend to get higher as the halving is coming close. Anyway it is tryign to stabilize itself at the moment

Never say never. Just remember when in 2014 bitcoin price dropped from more than $700 to $102 on BTC-e ($275 on Bitstamp) and don't forget to put a buy limit order.  Wink

I thought this was just someone that fat fingered his order, no? I thought this was not a real drop. I mean $102 on btc-e and $275 on Bitstamp is quite a difference in price!

You can't say like that unless the average price of bitcoin is $102. From what you said, the average price is about 185 so that's really far from 100 mark

btc-e orderbook is very thin. that's why it went that low. these flash crashes happen from time to time. that's why i have buy orders open at very low price levels. it may take a very long time, but eventually it will happen.

No matter how far from 100 mark was the price, I just want to say that this is a very good opportunity for any trader to make a good profit on btc-e.

Cheesy It is not because the btc-e orderbook is very thin, anyway it is not thinner than on bitstamp. This crashes happen from time to time because of the Metatrader and funny traders who are so fond of "Stop Loss" ...
