The Bitcoin software, network, and concept is called "Bitcoin" with a capitalized "B". Bitcoin currency units are called "bitcoins" with a lowercase "b" -- this is often abbreviated BTC.

How does this compare to the 2013 bubble in terms of volume?

USD Exchange Volume chart from Blockchain.info does not look right in comparison to the one on coinmarketcap.com

Current volume and shape of the long-time chart is starting to look to me like a U shape pattern, where in the middle, where the recovery starts , is
characteristic volume increase, along with the price surge. If this "dream" is to be true, with time it will end up slightly more than it started, at >1k values.
It's still a bit too early to positively clam that the pattern is real, but by the looks of it -  so far so good.

If you look at the Bitfinex charts last January had far more Bitcoins traded than this rally. Some people said that volume proved that capitulation was over, and the bottom was in. Bitstamp shows slightly less volume than January, but averaged out across all exchanges we haven't had January's volume yet.

Just proves the point tbat charts can't always help in speculating as the market can react totally opposite of what the charts say. Volume with 0 fees is cool lol.

Aaaand it goes down hard
