I missed another one dammit. I need to write these end dates all over my wall so I don't forget again.

Unlike traditional banking where clients have only a few account numbers, with Bitcoin people can create an unlimited number of accounts (addresses). This can be used to easily track payments, and it improves anonymity.

Inside of your eyelids, so if you are napping you can still see when it ends...  Cheesy

Under 5 is a steal...

Not if that's where the market settles.

Just because others are asking more for these coins doesn't mean the market is willing to bear it. This auction shows clearly that those asking BTC3 for these coins may be asking too much!

Congrats to the winner(s)!

You can not judge market price from 1 auction.  Also the forum was down for several hours and came online 30 minutes before auction ended.

The forum downtime prevented me from bidding.  These were under market, IMO, at 5 BTC.  I would have gone to 5.5 myself.

I will be adding a rule that when we have forum downtime the equivalent is added to the auction timer.

I think the issue is that Blazed try to sell them as a package which cut down on his prospective market.
People like me wanted one of the coins and didn't want to deal with buying both, just to resell one.

Strangely, most want the Gold B version, even though I believe less of the straight silver exist.  Meh.
I ended up getting the coin I wanted from a guy locally.  So, I saved time not having to sell off the second one; however, I would have just kept it instead of dealing with selling it.  Smiley

Winner got a nice/fair deal.

I'll agree with this, I didn't go higher because I only wanted the gold-B. Would have just resold/re-auctioned the all-silver coin. IMO, very good deal for the buyer.

And supposedly there's 1300 all-silvers and 483 goldies out there, so the goldie is a fair bit rarer. (http://www.spotcoins.com/bitcoin/casascius)

Well, I had planned on auctioning a "goldie" and silver half, but thinking the market is not that strong. Too many people trying to resell these days means I am putting my coins away for a while.

That's a pair I would bid seriously on... but like you say, locking them in the closet for a while and waiting for the market to thin out and pick back up might be a wise move.
