Hi,

Apologies if this should be obvious, but I could really do with some help.

Recently I decided I wanted to try using armory wallet instead of electrum which I had been using.

I sent a transaction to an address from the armoury wallet but naively didn't realise that I was nowhere near finishing downloading bitcoin core (3 days now, up to 94%)

To try and get round this, yesterday I used the the private key from the armory address and the sweep private key function in electrum.

This appeared to work fine, however it has been over a day now with no confs on the transaction ( I fear it was not sent with sufficient fee)

This is the transaction

Is there anything I can do now to get this transaction confrmed?

Thanks in Advance

Nevermind,  I managed to get around it by creating another transaction through https://coinb.in as a double spend with a transaction fee of 0.001 and it got confirmed quickly. Surprised I was actually able to work out how to do it (first time I've created a transaction, verified signed and broadcast it manually)  Smiley

I am glad that you were able to get you tx confirmed, however it is generally a good idea to use a "seeded" wallet (eg a wallet with a seed as opposed to a collection of private keys) because all you need to backup your wallet is the seed and it will remain backed up regardless of how many addresses you use

Hi,

Thanks for your reply.

My armory wallet was/is seed based but after 3+ days it had still not synced and finished downloading the blockchain.

I (rather naively I admit) had sent funds to it expecting it to sync much faster.

This was why I used the sweep private key option in this case.

Can you use a seed created say by armoury with another wallet like electrum?

Thanks again for you reply
