he said he has a large amount of Bitcoins but would not disclose the amount and says he has a hard time spending them.

After I explained GYFT and how you can go inside StarBucks and transfer BTC-->Gyft card then use that at the point of sale his eyes blew up like he saw a ghost

Shocked to see that he has never heard of GYFT before Sad

Never heard of Gyft myself before. How come do you know Steve Wozniak? isn't he like a celeb pretty much these days? I knew this guy would be on Bitcoin. All the clever geeks are on Bitcoin and own a decent stack, otherwise you would be an idiot at this point.

So you need to go to starbucks to fund GYFT? Cannot fund it with BTC directly?

I highly doubt you spoke with him, but if you did kudos.  I also am unaware of what GYFT is?  Is that a website where you can essentially buy gift cards?

I don't doubt he may have talked to steve.  He is a very nice, approachable, down-to-earth guy. I saw him chatting with random people at maker faire one year.

gyft.com obviously. It would be much more interesting if those retailers just started accepting bitcoin directly, but this and bitcoin debit cards will
do just fine for now i guess.
What are the chances of meeting S.W. randomly like that anyways ?!

Who cares if he knows Steve but why would anyone go into Starbucks buy a gyft card with Bitcoin just to buy a coffee when you can simply use cash directly to buy a coffee? That's probably why his eyes lit up.

OP, you poorly explained what gyft is.

Gyft is a website where you can use Bitcoin to buy gift cards for many different sites and stores. One of them is starbucks. So Wozniak, or anyone for that matter, can buy a Starbucks gift card from Gyft using Bitcoin and use that in the shop.

Not only is gyft.com great they also give you $5 free off any purchase for being new...

Best way to cash out BTC in my opinion if you need Walmart or Amazon gift cards..

They are owed by target.com I believe.

Pretty much like you but the opposite. I know Gyft but I dont know who is Steve Wozniak. Did a search on Google and ... well, he is someone who did something for the whole of Computer in 1970.

Anyway, I thought everyone who know and use Bitcoin should already know that they can exchange Bitcoin for lot of Giftcards or Vouchers at the popular, Gyft? It is good that you advertised Gyft to him. His eyes tell you that he is going to use Gyft immediately after the conversation and go to StartBucks. Smiley.

So sad! This profile does not appear as the #1 result (on anonymous) Google searches anymore.

Woz is the King, he took over when Elvis died and then he created Apple as a part time hobby. ^JOKE^ Some people on this forum will be too young to remember him and what he did for the computer industry. Just bow before him, when you pass him in the street. ^LoL^

But seriously guys, why don't you think it's possible to talk to Steve Wozniak? He's a normal guy, not a president or a snotty superstar besieged by bodyguards.
