Dedicated server does allow the user to use the CPU to the max but it doesn't mean you should. Firstly, they are housed in a tight compartment with poor airflow. It is very easy to get it to overheat and the hardware would degrade. Secondly, GPU is much more efficient than CPU mining and ASIC mining is the most efficient of them all. A regular desktop CPU that has high clock speed (I7 4790k) can achieve up to 100kh/s of mining speed in scrypt. It will generate approximately $0.11 in a month. Don't expect much more in server grade hardware. It would also degrade the hardware significantly.

TL;DR: Don't think about mining in dedicated server.

The only real way to mine litecoin is on a scrypt ASIC. Nothing else will even have a chance at mining more than the power costs.

hi many thanks for your reply
what about use raspberry pi to make the minging?

raspberry pi's have a slower CPU than PC/Server's

ASIC is the only profitable option for litecoin now.

It's possible to hook ASICs up on the raspberry pi! Smiley

Litecoin and other Scrypt coins are only mineable with ASIC. Any other forms of mining using CPU or GPU will not make you any profit.

It is not profitable to mine wit CPU now. If you do not pay the electricity, you can still use CPU. But you will get very few litcoin.

Litecoin can be efficiently mined with ASIC and FPGA, as they are very powerful but very expensive too. It will be a bad idea if you mine with the above specification for your dedicated server. You will end with losses only as your electricity bill will definitely surpass any amount you earn.
