Both of the options are equally terrifying. Why would anyone in their sane mind devote significant portion of their time just on gamble?!
Gambling/betting should be considered at the best a hobby, nothing more than to kill time and have some fun with responsible amounts of funds.
Forget about HR and winning jackpots, statistically , the odds are definitely not on your side; there's a reason why there are so many casinos/dice sites.

Very small percentage of gamblers can do it as a living. Should just be for fun. Without a steady income, it's easy to fall into a degenerative gambling state.

Why are there 80 threads with the exact same premise?  Can't there just be one "why do you gamble" thread and all of you people can spam your penny sigs there?

I now and then gamble (Dice) for fun and use only faucets. I sometimes try to multiply a faucet enough to make it transferable, but I haven't succeeded yet. The first time I played Dice (just several weeks ago) I managed to turn 200 sats into 20000 sats. Took me just half an hour, and I thought I could easily do that again and go for 2 million sats, or 0,02 BTC. Yes, I was convinced I could make a considerable amount of money out of faucets, but after a while the fact of the 1% advantage for the House came around the corner and turned my balance into a nice 0. It was a fun experience though ... !

Gambling for a living is only possible if you have such a ridiculously high bankroll and are so good at playing odds on sportsbooks or esports betting that you should really be spending your time doing something else and making even more money. Unless you are crazy with matched betting and take full advantage of it, in which case maybe it's possible, but usually it's just for supplementary income.

Reminds me of the days when people would gamble on BitVegas for fun, with drinks and the VIP lounge...ah, those were good times. Now it's just people using a bunch of alt accounts to try to milk faucets all day long.

Mind you, that happened on BitVegas as well.

That should be fine as long as one don't target to win money from gambling then they most likely know when to exit the gambling but if one gamble to win certain money then if they lose initially then they will try to recover that money and at the end they will lose more money. So no one will be successful if they target to live for gambling or gambling for living. Just gamble for passing time.

Well I mean the whole idea of gambling is that it's supposed to be for fun, the idea of gambling is actually not to make a profit. If you go into gambling simply looking for a profit then you're asking for trouble. If you go into these websites instead looking to have a good time, be social and interact (mainly on sites with a chatbox), then it's much better. That's why BitVegas was amazing - an interactive world (even with it being in Minecraft) where you could see people, talk to them, buy them drinks and go to a VIP lounge? That's fun. That's the idea.

Gambling is not for a living or a living for gambling. Gambling is not indispensable part of life. It is just a kind of entertainment, a way to pass time. However, we have to pay for gambling as most of us will not win.

I cannot do both because they will just destroy your life. Better invest somewhere else where i would have slow but sure return. If is to gamble then I do it for fun. I dont let it control my life in per-suit of easy money because easy is not usually easy. it can cost your life dearly

I don't live with gambling money, but with surebets with betfair and italian bookmakers, i earn 300-500 euro every month, working 3-4 hour for day ( in the weekend more) and not have chance to lose, but request 5000 and more euro deposited to all site  Grin

Waw.. you can share tips and trick for it?
I think no problem to deposit 5000 euro to all site. If  it can profits 300-500 euro every month

I don't do any of those.
If I have some extra cash I prefer to invest it in some low-risk investments and watch my money grow.

I would look into reading poker strategies and perfecting your skillset. Practice as much as you can and perhaps you can be a good texas hold em player.
