Some people just don't need to give out red trust. Not specifically to this guy, but to most Newbie's. It's not fair, I kind of feel bad the dude. Payza + PM are both non-reversible. We need a better trust system :/.

Negative - You were scammed or you strongly believe that this person is a scammer.

People need to stick that ^.

Neither of your archive links work, as the trust system only works for users logged in. You can remove those from your posts. Add a screenshot of the user's trust profile if you want to add proof.

And I'm sure that if you discussed it with DiamondCardz he would gladly amend his trust rating to something more suitable. It is slightly suspicious when a user's starting posts are either asking for a loan or for a currency exchange from a reversible system.

He did stick to that, the bolded part specifically. DiamondCardz is right to distrust a user who's starting posts are asking for Paypal->BTC at a severely discounted rate, and he strongly believes that user is a scammer.

While the trust system isn't perfect it's what works currently. If you have any suggestions to make it better I'm sure that theymos and others would be glad to hear them.

I would agree that the person is most likely a scammer. He is offering a "too-good-to-be-true" offer to someone who accepts a reversible payment method. He also pretty clearly created that account for the sole purpose of engaging in that trade

I clicked this thread expecting to see something interesting, imagine my surprise when it was about a trust rating I left. Smiley

Okay, let's talk.

Yes, if you contact me regarding trust ratings I will talk to you and get your side of the story and if I am satisified I will usually amend it to a neutral or remove it. You are not the party involved here and I have not received any contact from the user in question. I do strongly believe that this person could be a scammer.

Unfortunately, neutral ratings are more effective at dampening someone who already has a good trust rating, they rarely actually do anything if that person has no trust already as no-one actually checks their trust. I also feel that a negative is justified.

Don't worry, by the way, I don't plan to immediately remove my ratings and try to hide if someone talks about them, I'm fine with discussing them. No need to try to archive them (though you're welcome to if you really must).

$5 of a reversible currency for $2 of Bitcoin is a) a ridiculous deal b) extremely likely to be a scam when the person is a Newbie, using their first post and also called "profit generator" and c) just makes no sense. It is probably a scam. And while it didn't affect my rating, "profit generator"? I could swear he posted a HYIP as his first post which was instead deleted :S

Neutrals are often innefective. There have been a couple instances where I alone have left neutral and that user still went on to scam. Sometimes people just need the big red warning there for them to take note.

He did. It was trashed. Ref link.

Ah. Was that the one I reported? If you know.

I could've sworn I remembered his name, that would explain why anyway. So he is quite untrustworthy anyway, seems like he just tried to make some profit off of that and when that failed he switched to trying to bait out someone to give him a measly $2 in BTC.

He has a "too good to be true" deal but I've done deals which pay 50% more than the amount I send ($3.5 BTc for $7 Payza). However, in this case the newbie hasn't been online since he posted that thread so he looks suspicious.

Payza + PM are both non-reversible.
Why do you say that they are non-reversible? Those two are centralized services. He could just contact their support who can just go into the database and change the numbers back. That makes it reversible.

Cautious While Dealing with Newbies and Jr Members..
Deal only with members Which have above position

Rank does not really matter these days due to account sales. Best not to trust anyone here, and always escrow.
