I just launched a site for buying Newegg Giftcards with Bitcoins.

Here's the site: http://www.bitegg.net/

How it works:
1. Fill out the order form.
2. Pay via MtGox with the Merchant Services link or directly.
3. I will get an email with your bitcoin address, email, and giftcard amount.
4. Once I see the coins in my account I'll send the giftcard to your email

Hope you enjoy my site, if you have any questions don't be afraid to ask.

Has anyone used this? I'd like to but I'm a bit nervous about sending so much in BTC.

jjjrmy might be a newbie here, but he spends plenty of time in #bitcoin-otc and has a good rating there.  I haven't personally bought a card, but know at least one person who has without problems.

I've actually been using BtcBuy.info lately. The exchange rate is slightly better.

Ill repeat the question asked by the other member that was never answered; has anyone actually bought from this site before to confirm it is legit?

Secondly I'll ask another question as the only currency available is USD and i would like to buy a card for newegg.ca is the USD value actually Canadian? From the number of posts jjjrmy has and the low number of posts in this thread it would appear this project was abandoned. Its too bad because I really think this would have been more popular.

I would also try btcbuy.info but they do not offer newegg.ca giftcards.

He has a new site now, http://giftcoin.net. I haven't used it, but I believe others have had successful purchases.

wSo it sounds like there's a problem with the site and he still hasnt fixed it. I know a place i can ship stuff to in the states for me from american stores but the duty could be brutal since I want to eventually use my coins to crossfire my 6950. This is mildly disappointing but Im sure I will find some way to make this happen.

BitEgg.net is the greatest!!!!!!

I have used the service a half dozen times and I use it whenever I need to purchase computer hardware.

They have NEVER failed and they respond relatively quick to any emails sent their way.

WHOA site was overhauled!!  http://www.giftcoin.net/

Thanks its a much cleaner layout too

They accept newegg.ca gift cards, not newegg.com gift cards (i dont think).  the USD aspect of things is irrelevant, it's just newegg.ca and newegg.com are the 2 types for the 2 sites.
