A private university in São Paulo called Faculty of Informatics and Management Paulista (FIAP), recently decided to start accepting bitcoin payments for selected courses. The new initiative is designed to showcase FIAP as a leader in innovation and technological prowess in Brazil.
FIAP will accept payments in the digital currency only for curriculum in the Shift program, which is composed of mini-courses on technological innovation and entrepreneurship. PagCoin, a Brazilian digital currency payment processor, was selected by FIAP to facilitate bitcoin transactions for the new initiative.
