Just got issue #4, and I have to say, the quality is far superior to not only issue #1, but also issues #2 and #3. By quality I mean both content and print quality. I see that Mihai Alisie is now editor-in-chief, while Matthew N. Wright has been moved to a contributing writer. Not sure that keeping MNW on-board at all was the best decision, but good luck to you, Mihai.

The magazine has been extremely useful in introducing new people to the currency. Something about having a physical manifestation of something (such as BTC Magazine or Casascius coins) really seems to work well for getting people interested. Keep on improving, you guys!

I was thinking of starting a thread just like this.

A huge hats off to Bitcoin Magazine for an awesome Issue #4.  The main thing about Issue #4 that really makes me happy is that there is so much content in there that's geared to the average Bitcoin-curious person that if they were to pick it up, there would be plenty for them to read and they wouldn't be put off.  Issue #4 is something I'd be proud to see spammed around and left in waiting rooms, which is a long way from issue #1, which was exciting in itself, but would leave non-Bitcoiners scratching their head.

Companies claiming they got hacked and lost your coins sounds like fraud so perfect it could be called fashionable.  I never believe them.  If I ever experience the misfortune of a real intrusion, I declare I have been honest about the way I have managed the keys in Casascius Coins.  I maintain no ability to recover or reproduce the keys, not even under limitless duress or total intrusion.  Remember that trusting strangers with your coins without any recourse is, as a matter of principle, not a best practice.  Don't keep coins online. Use paper or hardware wallets instead.

This is a misconception. MNW is in the credits because he had helped out with one of the articles that got pushed back into 4 from a previous issue months ago, and there was no point in scrapping the entire article just to be able to put a "Matthew-free" sticker on the issue. He has not provided any input into Bitcoin Magazine since September, he will not be in the credits for #5, and we have no plans to bring him back.

Otherwise, thanks a lot guys for your support! We'll continue doing everything we can to make this magazine the best that it can be, and always gladly welcome your feedback!

Argumentum ad lunam: the fallacy that because Bitcoin's price is rising really fast the currency must be a speculative bubble and/or Ponzi scheme.

How's it for getting pdf versions of these online?

And just to not stirr up controversy: I was thinking of paid copies of course.

For the first issue, I got a PDF of the magazine sent to my email. Haven't got anything for the rest, but I'm not really sure if I'm supposed to. I don't need the digital version as long as I have the physical version, so I haven't really thought about it much.

I'd consider paying extra if this is the case.
