Introducing multiple algorithms now, would piss off a lot of miners who invested in expensive ASIC's for a single algorithm. You would find that a bunch of them will quit mining and it

would be even less decentralized. It's a interesting suggestion and could possibly open up mining to lots more people with smaller setups focused on one of these algo's, but it could

have nightmare consequences for the whole network.  Huh Huh Huh
