Vatican properties 'used as brothels’

Rome - Vatican-owned properties in Rome are operating as seedy saunas and massage parlours where priests pay for sex, according to the latest in a series of leaked reports to embarrass the Church.

It is also claimed that Vatican officials are allowing buildings to be rented out at peppercorn rents as favours to powerful colleagues and turning a blind eye to shady property deals, as well as allowing addresses to be used as red-light establishments.

Among the properties mentioned in the document, made public by a Vatican mole, are premises in two streets close to the Italian Parliament and a solarium near Piazza Barberini, according to press reports.

One particular Vatican department, the Congregation for the Propagation of the Faith, has been highlighted in the list. It owns hundreds of high-value properties in central Rome, worth hundreds of millions of euros.

Two years ago it emerged the Vatican had purchased a €23m (£16m) share of a Rome apartment block, 2 Via Carducci, which housed the Europa Multiclub, Europe's biggest gay sauna.

Tales of visiting priests were legion, and a section of the sauna's website promoting special “bear nights” included a video of a hirsute man stripping down and changing into a priest's outfit.

Cardinal Tarcisio Bertone, who held the Vatican's purse strings under the previous Pope Emeritus Benedict, was said to have been behind the purchase of the block of flats in 2008.

It was also alleged in this month's leaks that Cardinal Bertone used €200 000 from a medical charity to refurbish his penthouse flat.

Meanwhile, sources quoted by Ansa news agency said that Pope Francis hoped to close the leak investigation and draw a line under the affair before the Vatican's special Jubilee Year, which begins on December 8.

Some observers believe the leaks are part of a campaign to undermine his effort to reform the Curia.

One senior figure, Monsignor Lucio Vallejo Balda, and another official have been arrested by Vatican police over the leaks.

On Tuesday it emerged that four cardinals had also been questioned.

Cute:

It was reported that the Holy See owned 19 apartments in the block in Rome after buying a £21million share of the building in 2008.

Several of the flats house priests, notably Cardinal Ivan Dias, the so-called 'prince of the church' whose 12-room apartment at 2 Via Carducci is located just yards from the Europa Multiclub.

The facility, billed as 'Italy's best-known gay sauna', boasts a Turkish bath, Finnish sauna, whirlpools and massages.

Its website ironically touts one of its 'bear nights' with a video of a hairy man stripping down and changing into a priest's outfit.

It says Bruno is 'free to the music of his clergyman, remaining in a thong, because he wants to expose body and soul'.

The purchase was apparently the brainchild of Cardinal Tarcisio Bertone, Pope Benedict's much-disliked right-hand man who held the Vatican's purse strings during the last pontificate.

The latest Vatileaks claims emerged as Pope Francis insisted the Church shun all temptations of power, prestige and money as he pressed his reform agenda amid a new scandal at the Vatican.

Francis outlined his vision of the church in a lengthy speech to Italian bishops gathered in Florence, leaving behind a Vatican reeling from revelations of internal resistance to his reform agenda.

The Argentine Jesuit told the bishops he wanted a church that was humble and poor and not obsessed with preaching doctrine or acquiring power.

How else are you going to keep priests, the Cardinals, and the Pope happy if you don't let them get married?

You might think that the Pope and some of the Cardinals are too old. But I bet some of them would surprise you.  Cheesy

Well, it´s a criminal organization and they´re in it for the money. And when you´re in it for the money ways to save money come in handy. Priests were required to be celibate so the organization did not have to fund families or look after widows and orphans when the priests and prelates kicked the bucket or became otherwise indisposed. Just business.

"Popes maimed & were maimed, killed & were killed... Without question, these pontiffs constitute the most despicable body of leaders, clerical or lay, in history. They were, frankly, barbarians. Ancient Rome had nothing to rival them in rottenness."
– Peter de Rosa (Vicars of Christ, p48)

Slow day...how about a little joke

A Frenchman, an Englishman, and a New Yorker were captured by a fierce tribe. The chief comes to them and says, "The bad news is that now that we've caught you, we're going to kill you, and then use your skins to build a canoe. The good news is that you get to choose how you die."

The Frenchman says, "I take ze poison." The chief gives him some poison, the Frenchman says, "Vive la France!" and drinks it down.

The Englishman says, "A pistol for me, please." The chief gives him a pistol, he points it at his head, says, "God save the queen!" and blows his brains out.

The New Yorker says, "Gimme a fork." The chief is puzzled, but he shrugs and gives him a fork. The New Yorker takes the fork and starts jabbing himself all over the stomach, the sides, the chest, everywhere. There's blood gushing out all over, it's horrible. The chief is appalled, and screams, "What are you doing???" The New Yorker looks at the chief and says, "So much for your canoe, asshole!"

Actually I think that this is a good idea. More of these gay saunas should be constructed for the Catholic priests. If they indulge in sodomy among themselves, then the chances are that a lot less of those altar boys will be sexually assaulted by them. That said, I would recommend the installation of multiple condom vending machines, as HIV incidence is quite high among the Catholic priests.

Pope Francis says Earth looks like 'an immense pile of filth'

Jun. 19, 2015, 3:50 AM

Pope Francis is not too happy with how humans have treated the Earth.

On Thursday, the Pope delivered his long-anticipated encyclical on climate change that called on citizens and governments to do their part to leave a lighter footprint.

Following the announcement, the Pope went on an aggressive tweet spree, calling out cultures that encourage consumerism and pollution.

In the encyclical (a papal letter to all bishops of the Roman Catholic Church), the Pope called for global citizens to pressure governments to cut down on waste.

“Climate change is a global problem with grave implications: environmental, social, economic, political and for the distribution of goods,” the Pope said, according to The New York Times. “It represents one of the principal challenges facing humanity in our day.”

As The New York Times notes, the Pope hopes that the 184-page manifesto on climate change will help put pressure on governments and big businesses to take greater steps to curb emissions and pollution.

Some political analysts predict that the Pope's climate change agenda could cause a headache for some politicians in the US. Some high-profile lawmakers in the US have criticized the Pope for taking positions on issues outside of religion.

"I don't go to mass for economic policy or for things in politics," former Florida Governor Jeb Bush said earlier this week. "I've got another people helping me along the way with that."

Francis — who has made combatting inequality a staple of his papal tenure — also used Thursday's announcement to highlight climate change's impact on the poor. The Pope pointed out that climate change is exacerbating drought and depriving the poor of access to clean water.

Not saying he is the actual antichrist, but he has an antichrist spirit, trying to push the New World Order by calling us all "global citizens" of the world and everyone needs to work together to get rid of "global warming" while the ice is actually growing in Antarctica.

Nah, he´s just a crime boss. There´s no reason to sugarcoat it. This religious BS is just a cover, always has been. Just look at the characters, that the public for some mysterious reasons vote into office,

groveling at his feet and kissing his ass. Then the same weirdos go to Saudi Arabia and crawl before the basically same crime syndicate ilk there. Birds of a feather flock together.

I mean, you can play dumb and ignore 1000 years of carnage and barbarity and extortion and theft  in the name of Christ, from The Vicars of Christ, that´s your business.

With All the World at War, Christmas Is a ‘Sham,’ Says Pope Francis

By THOMAS D. WILLIAMS, PH.D.23 Nov 2015

In a strongly worded homily, Pope Francis is calling Christmas a “sham” in the face of recent terrorist attacks and wars.

“Christmas is approaching: there will be lights, parties, lighted Christmas trees and manger scenes… it’s all a sham,” he said at Mass in his chapel Thursday at the Santa Marta residence where he lives in the Vatican.

“The world continues to go to war. The world has not chosen a peaceful path. There are wars today everywhere, and hate,” he said.

“A war can be justified, so to speak, with many, many reasons, but when all the world is at war, piecemeal though that war may be – a little here, a little there – there is no justification,” he said.

“We should ask for the grace to weep for this world, which does not recognize the path to peace. To weep for those who live for war and have the cynicism to deny it,” the pope said.

“God weeps, Jesus weeps,” he added.

Pope Francis was speaking less than a week after the brutal November 13 Paris attacks, which left 130 dead, as well as the double suicide bombing in Lebanon on November 12 and the bombing of a Russian Metrojet airliner over Egypt on October 31.

Ironically, the Vatican had just put up a massive Christmas tree in the center of Saint Peter’s Square, which will be decorated on December 8 for the start of the Vatican’s Holy Year with Christmas ornaments made by children from cancer wards in different Italian hospitals.

In front of the tree, a life-size nativity scene will include 24 wooden figures, with sculptures of ordinary people surrounding Mary, Joseph, the wise men, shepherds, and the baby Jesus.

Around the Vatican City, the atmosphere is anything but festive. Italy has deployed an additional 700 troops to the 1,300 already involved in a highly visible “safe streets” operation in Rome.

Along with the Vatican, soldiers are patrolling the Rome’s train stations, subway system and airports, as well as at major shopping districts.

Security measures have been beefed-up as Rome is preparing to host the Jubilee Year of Mercy, which begins December 12 and is expected to draw many millions of pilgrims.

Pope Francis also spoke of the “innocent victims” of war and also condemned arms dealers for their role in world conflicts.

“What shall remain in the wake of this war, in the midst of which we are living now?” he asked. “What shall remain? Ruins, thousands of children without education, so many innocent victims, and lots of money in the pockets of arms dealers.

Ironic that he would be celebrating Saturnalia by putting up a tree.

The Origins of Christmas Customs:
"A. Christmas Trees
Just as early Christians recruited Roman pagans by associating Christmas with the Saturnalia, so too worshippers of the Asheira cult and its offshoots were recruited by the Church sanctioning “Christmas Trees Pagans had long worshipped trees in the forest, or brought them into their homes and decorated them, and this observance was adopted and painted with a Christian veneer by the Catholic Church."

Jeremiah 10:2 Thus saith the LORD, Learn not the way of the heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them. 3 For the customs of the people are vain: for one cutteth a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the axe. 4 They deck it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers, that it move not.

Plagiarism saves costs. The reason the early church came up with the number of the 12 apostles was that of the countless gods that the Romans had; twelve were considered major ones and had statues in the temples. So, takeover was pretty seamless they just replaced the statues.

I don't think he was plagiarizing. I think the whole Roman Catholic church are actually sun-god worshipers playing Christians, and they are celebrating their holy day, that is anything but Christian, IMHO.

(and I used to be Catholic)

The true church are the people who have Christ in their hearts, and they mostly meet in homes or small rooms. These are they who have been changed from darkness into the glorious light of Christ and follow, love and serve Him alone.
