You're still a newbie. For you to be able to post image to be displayed on topic, you need to at least be a Jr member: Due to abuse, newbie-posted embedded images are now disabled on these pages: - Topic display - Recent posts / patrol - Previews They're not currently hidden in PMs or on some other pages (like a user's "show posts" page), though I might change that later if it seems necessary.
Disabled images get transformed into links automatically. When the poster becomes a Jr member, the images that he tried to post previously will automatically be re-enabled (though there might be a few minutes of delay).
This extends to all past posts as well as future ones.
You can see your pictures if you click the show the last post of person on your profile. This should belong to Meta. Btw the code is [img]https://i.imgur.com/r7Luz3Y.png[/img]

Newbies are not allowed to post pictures but when i check your posts it is shown there. You should wait 6 weeks and then your pictures will be visible to others.

So your saying the image is up, its just I cant see it? 6 weeks, what on earth! This is stupidly confusing. Can anybody else confirm picture is up?? I just logged out and checked my posts - their is only the link, no picture whatsoever, what are you talking about?

The image is correctly formatted, go to here and see for yourself. Image posted by newbies won't be shown at those places. For it to show, you need to be at least a Jr Member. Jr member needs at least 30 activities which is roughly 3 activity periods. Activity periods are 2 weeks periods which you are active. You will be a Jr member by 8 December 2015 and all your images would show in those locations I mentioned at that time.

We can't see the pic on the threads, this is the main point because of lots of spam from brand new or newbies member. After reaching Jr member we would be able to see.

No. Anyone can see those images in the show posts page. But I think you changed it just now. The format needs to be [img]http://(IMAGE HERE)[/img] then go back to the show post page and see.

Okay, you can't post images anyway as you're a newbie, but 99% of forums use something called BBCode. Linking to imgur (that's just a webpage link) wouldn't do anything and I don't see how it would, linking to the actual image itself will again just produce a link. You can't use HTML (except in limited forums rarely on some vBulletin forums) as it'd be heavily restricted anyway and it's much more complex.
It's much simpler with BBCode. Start with an IMG tag, put the image link after it, then end with an /IMG tag, and use [] instead of <>. Works similarly for things like color=blue, etc.

Thanks to everyone that sincerely helped!
The picture was just a test, but thankyou above poster, you are so very meek (cough)!
Will be good to be able to correctly post like an adult soon, and not treated like a child.
Why would anyone spam this site???

There are many bitcointalk competitors that would spam the forum to death. It's always a good idea to build in an anti-spam system, especially when there are so many people using this forum.

I'm not sure what exactly you're trying to convey here, but... There's also a button in your toolbar above your post text area, where you can click to embed an image (the hover text is "Insert Image"). It helps to look around

It helps to look around The problem is that he can't post any pictures because of his Newbie rank. No idea when bitcointalk added that rule, but the forum looks more organized and free of potential newbie scammers now. I can remember when there were hundreds of posts about ebooks, accounts, cards etc in the marketplace from Brand New members

I just posted the link instead but I was kind of confused of why that happened.

Yeah, i've noticed the error with a white background and red letters that goes something like "A proxy has been detected and this image cannot be shown" or something like that. Sometimes I wanted to post a pic and had to try several hosts before finding one that the forum was ok with.

Check your internet connection and the link, making sure it ends with .jpg, .png, .gif or any photo format. Go to your link and ensure you see the picture itself. It was a mistake that I frequently made while being a newbie.
