Hi guys. We did this interview with a mining facility in Romania. Now, we had some technical difficulties with the sound, and yea...I know it s not our best work. I just wanted to show you this cooling system they had, I thought that in spite of the video not looking at its best it s still something that might get you interested. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UZHM8-3RxF4

Interesting, though with those sapphire graphics cards I don't believe that they are mining bitcoin, if they are they're wasting quite a bit of time doing so.

Hi there, I'm from South Africa. This means I'm poor, I guess.

Thats great that you guys do things like this in Romania! Good luck!

Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be any subtitles on the cooling system part... But I've seen they got inspired on those "cooling walls" from China

But to be fair it is good to see a new farm coming up not in China.

It's a pretty cool walkthrough of the facility. I'm not sure about those graphics cards though... Why not ASICS? What's the mining power? 1 Gh/S? xD

if they don't know how the diff and the earning work, they are wasting time without knowing it, everyone should be aware about the fact that without asic you can't do shit anymore
even with litecoin you need asic since ages, and new coins seems all worthless

Yes, quite a lot of unclear things in the video! GPU cards, S3s! Maybe they have free or near free electricity! Even then it seems to me that they are wasting their time!

could you explain a bit more about this? what is "asic". The video can't load the english subs for me, it is quite interesting but I can't really know what hardware are they using.

Asics are highly specialized computers that are being made just for one purpose, for Bitcoin mining. And that, Asics are doing very well. Just type Bitcoin Asics computers in Google, and you will see it for yourself!

I personally think this type of mining cooling is pointless and costs far more to cool when it comes to these cooling setups. The purpose of the cooling is to remove the heat from the computer chips. There is no way a small operation like that has enough heat coming from their systems, that they need such a large cooling system. You need to focus your cooling to the computing units first, then, if you room temperature rises large enough, you can work on that. But think about it; if you have a 10,000 cu.ft. room with 5 fans moving 10,000 cu.ft. a minute, there air is not in the room long enough to get warm let alone hot. Just my opinion.

I agree with you. IMO just 2 fans as large as they have would be enough to lower the temperature in the room. And of course you should concentrate first on removing the heat from the computer chips. But maybe we are missing something here. It would be great if the owners of the mining farm were so kind to clarify the subject, especially considering the fact that english subs aren't loading for some people here (including me).

GPUs re mining Etherum probably and the rest are S5 and S4 miners. All in all nice farm but I really do not see how do they manage to get cheap electricity in Romania and compete with Island, for example.

Isn't it better to have multiple smaller not so dangerous and noisy fan? Most commercial size need multiple big fan's. Yes they are big and loud but they need a ton of CFM. Not sure about this one looking at video lot's of empty rack's just there. So not sure not sure this is best example. But two main way's are evaporation or lots of CFM's as far as commercial farms.

Well it certainly was loud, however the last 5-ish minutes were very fun to watch. I'm not sure what they would have been mining with, though. I'm fairly confident they're using S3 miners, but I can't be sure.
I wonder what they're profit margins are with that though. It definitely looks like a lot of hashing power...
