hey guys, i'm fairly new to bitcoins and all that. i've been trying to mine for a while now, but with little success (well...none, really). anyways, i'm extremely strapped on cash, limiting my options as to how to obtain some coins, and so, i've fallen to groveling. yes, i realize that i am straight up begging for coins at this point, but as of now there's really nothing else i can do. to anyone that wants to call me useless/an asshole/etc., i'm sorry that it's come to this. to anyone with a kind heart and a few coins to spare, my address is: 1DeJ2KQDAwF1br2QGKpoUjW1yy66e21GuH

i came across witcoin before, but when i read up on it it seemed like i needed bitcoins to even post. i just tried to sign up to reply to that thread, but in the process the captcha keeps messing up and doesn't appear, so i got an error, reentered the captcha, and it just takes me to an "error - nothing to see here" page, not allowing me to register an account

If someone sends you bitcoins it should update to your client by itself without you needing to do anything.

Don't delete the wallet.dat, how many blocks has your client downloaded so far, it's shown in the status bar.

When the block count reaches 128964 you'll see the donation if you got the address from your client since the transaction was recorded in that block
