I'd be interested in buying one unit and hosting it, how does accessing the UI work in that case?

Yes can you sent some printscreens of the user interface. My main doubt is if we can pont the miner to our own pools in real time , instead 1 preset pool.

The miners bought and hosted in bitmain can only be pointed on 1 pool (antpool)
Once a transaction has 6 confirmations, it is extremely unlikely that an attacker without at least 50% of the network's computation power would be able to reverse it.

I bought 5 from Matt at oregonmines

He was willing to drive over an hour to meet me in person and was a real cool guy!

Great service and to me these guys are legit, with the great service they provide and the fact the warranty on these avalons they sell are direct from manufacturer (or blockC?) I wouldn't hesitate to order more or host with them if I needed to

Any updates on what the interface will look like if we host it there? Was wondering how do we change settings and pool and stuff? Would it look like the same as if we access the miner's GUI remotely?

The UI has an allowance of 3 pools, and a choice of Failover, Load Balance or Balance for pool balancing.

If you do not have a VPN with us or you do not qualify for a VPN you will communicate any pool changes or requests by email with our technicians.

You can select any pool or pools you want.

How quiet are these ?
Quote
I'll need to confirm the noise they make. Somewhere between an S3 and S5.

Is it the same as the Avalon 4.1 or is it louder?

Is the price the same as the OP? 950 USD?
I assume freight is on top of that if someone wanted the unit shipped rather than hosted?

Transaction fees go to the pools and the pools decide to pay them to the miners. Anything else, including off-chain solutions are stealing and not the way Bitcoin was intended to function.
Make the block size set by the pool. Pool = miners and they get the choice.

I paid $6,500 for a full year of mining at OregonMines for 2020 and also had 8 S9's there. I have not heard anything since the beginning of 2020. I need to speak to somebody or I will be creating a class action lawsuit.

If anyone else has been scammed by OregonMines, please send me a message and I will get you included on the lawsuit.

Sorry to hear about this. You are not the only person who has had issues with them over the years. Here is the most recent thread it was discussed in. I believe the OP was able to get their gear back.
