gambling is all about the thrill whether you are going to win or lose and that is why it is so addicting. but this also is a big problem because you won't always win, there is going to be losing too which will leave you poor.

I think an individual is going to be afraid to gamble if there is much thrill on it, because not all gamblers have the same taste towards gambling there will be always someone who will not be addicted to it, it depends on personality, and I think there is and personality issue with the one who are addicted with gambling.

It's like good movie or book, you just like to do it, it is fun when you win, so you keep doing that again and again

That's true and it also depends on human nature that how he views it, first you gamble for fun, but luckily you win, and you keep on trying to multiply your wealth and that time it becomes an addiction.

You don't watch the same movie again and again.
Plus, you can't lose your fortune while watching movies.
It is a wee bit different.  Smiley

I think it really depends on one's psyche! I don't bet much because I know I will never get rich with it but at least I try to study and collect data to win as much as I can, and so far it works. 30$ per week is what I bet: sometimes I lose them all sometimes I double or triple them. Luck plays the best part, you know.

Right dear...
Luck is the most important thing we need in gambling, else one should never gamble...
It ain't addicting, we get addicted on our consent to it...
We just love watching those big odds that we see on those gambling sites that we once used to make some good amounts, but now not working for us...
Then one should definitely know that he should stop watching it, try something else or don't try at all, as maybe his luck ain't be good during such time...
Sometimes luck speaks very clearly to us especially when it says 'it's over now, get out' but we often tend not to listen. I agree with what you said though I believe anyone has his kind of addiction. Gambling gets us in different ways

Gambling should be addicting, its purpose is to keep players hooked on a game so they earn. They fail if it's not addicting.

Yes it is true. An addiction that can happen depending on one's mind. If they really need those of you addicted to very heavy. I think, addiction is very necessary. because if there is no addiction certainly we will not do things that can make us become the rich, popular, etc. If we have addiction towards gambling, we must have clear thinking and be ambitious. If it could be the next thing you control is observed the course of the game, after that make strategy from your observations. and gamble with the use of such strategies, for sure you will get addicted to it that makes you win big

Gambling is so addicting because its enjoying to play and is also that you can win money fast so you can create huge profits in a short time. The only problem is that you need pure luck and the most people do not have that, your always playing with risks.

Gambling can be very addicting if people win one time, its because they think they can win again, but when they lose than they want to win their losses back. the downside is that is almost not possible or you not a lot of luck by your side.

u mean every addicted gamblers will earn and every not-yet-addicted gamblers will lose? what kind of thinking was that? u suggest gamblers should let themselves become addicted?

Gambling is addictive because you get a high from winning large sums of money. It is taught in basic Psychology classes that reward = repeated behavior, and that's how people get trapped.

Signatures? How about learning a skill... I don't care either way. Everybody has to make a living somehow.

You get highs by even smaller amounts of money, that is I think what you keeps you playing. The final promise of hitting the jackpot is the bigger picture, what actually triggers you again and again is making small increments on your wallet, this is why dice and progressive slots are such a success.

Maybe yes,, its really the nature of gambling...it motivates us and our desire to play more thinking that the good prize is at the end...going out of gambling site might stop it, might be good if someone we love would tell us to stop..  Smiley

As human beings we are naturally born risk takers, gambling is just a trap that we created to screw ourselves over.
