Gambling indeed is pretty addictive. Anything that triggers release of feel good hormones or the excitatory hormone pretty much gets into addictivenes and kind of stays with us or rather wr want it to stay with us.

Gambling is also one of those things that stimulate our brain cells to get involved more and more. The uncertainity of the gambling game of whether we shall win or lose is in itself so enticing, let alone the feeling of welness when on wins.

Yes, it is so addictive because it gives emotional rushes. Winning gives a positive emotional rush and makes people want more, whereas losing produces a negative one and also makes people play to get rid of that emotion and achieve the positive winning one.
