Really doesn't mean anything, LTC dropped down to 0.0009 earlier this year from a high of around 0.01 around 12 months ago.

For the record I don't have any LTC, But I still think it'll last long term

High was 0.014 recently, then 0.001 was also hit after. Two wanna-be manipulators trying to outpace each other. One thing that shows: There is increasing interest in litecoin from people who actually have enough cash to nudge it around.
I think the bottom will be reached very soon if it isn't already here.

few whealthier people are trying to controll the price.
recently LTC started to be an interesting coin to market, amunt of users went up, mostly due to speculations involving ASIC mining / miners switching over to litecoin and increasing difficulty and therefor, making it more valuable, coz dumping it would be unprofitable.

time will tell succes or fail of this coin, in my opinion ; if it doesnt become interesting after ASIC mining, it will sink to nearly 0, but if users actualy start mining it, after initial dumps and diff. increase, its value will be much much higher.

long story short, it seams that its a smart move to have a couple thousands of LTC and hold it atleast till january, if u can afford it ofc, if u cant , sit down and enjoy the show.

BTC were worth around $2-$3 when LTC was @ 0.0009. I know because I sold several thousand. Oops Grin

There is a scramble on right now to snap up BTC (wise? not sure) so people are moving out of everything else to get their hands on BTC. I think LTC is long term, we need to work on it more, but it's long term.

more or less retired.

It looks like bASIQ ASICs for BTC are about to ship, so we may see the price or at least the difficulty of LTC explode very soon.

Much better to invest the LTC in dividend bearing assets while waiting.
