State funded terrorist is probably mostly due taxes. Now im not saying that 9/11 was done by the goverment.. thats too much to claim. There are certainly really weird things that happened that day and the days earlier. In any case, the world will be better if the currency used was detached from any governments.

Most terror attacks are funded by fiat. But we still need to use fiat as it is the main option now. Bitcoin is not widely accepted at the moment. We will dump fiat if there are more adoption of digital currencies.

Funny thing is most of the criminal activities in the world are funded by fiat and still no one seems to blame fiat for it but if even one crime is done where criminals use Bitcoin as their mode of payment, then all the fingers are pointed at BTC. Total hypocrites. Like with every technology there will always be people who would find ways to misuse it but don't blame the invention for it.

We should actually take this as a complement.  Roll Eyes They are searching for ways to tarnish Bitcoin's reputation and 9 out of 10 times, these things are totally out of context and not linked directly to Bitcoin. They put us in the spotlight and we still flourish.

What value would Bitcoin have, if you were unable to buy weapons with it? What makes fiat better than Bitcoin for them to ignore that fiat is used to buy weapons too. < The fact that it's government controlled > The media side with governments and they will jump on any chance to report negatively on Bitcoin, so get used to it.

Fiat cash, bitcoin, both are used to fund terrorism. What's your point? What's the assumption that fiat some how enabled the ideas and motivation that are needed to commit to terrorism?

Maybe we'd have to drop the concept of money and value all together if we wanted people to be deprived by the ability to fund things...

Seems appropriate seeing how many times mainstream has tried to well disenfranchise Bitcoin
You think they would get bored of FUD but of course not.

Good for you if you manage to live without credit card, bank account, credit check, loans and stuff.
I would like to do the same but unless I go and live up in the mountains I don't think it's easy to live that way.

it's only a matter of waiting that the shop you use start accepting bitcoin, or to wait open bazar, there is no need to live in the mountain or crazy stuff like that

when this will be settled, it will be easy to get rid of fiat altogether

That is so true. Every time that something bad happens and Bitcoin is involved, there is always a big scene about it. Whenever anything bad, that includes fiat, happens, nothing is ever done. All those ransom situations that include fiat; nothing happens. Then when there is a ransom situation that has Bitcoin, there is a huge scene made. People need to realise that fiat is even worse than Bitcoin in terms of criminal activity.

I think that we need to let go on these topics. The journalist of the DW that started all this mess has apologized and admitted that he has made a mistake.

Apparently the alleged Bitcoin wallets are not connected to the ISIS. This thing is all over Reddit. Yes I know that the damage might be half done to the Bitcoin, but I am still happy that we have nothing to do with these monsters, even though we can't control that at all!
