Are these your explanations for beginners? If so, then they aren't that good. Bitcoin is definitely not a "new exchange type casino chips". Bitcoin is so much that it is quite hard to correctly describe it in a few words. There are a lot of great videos on youtube for newbies that are both short and non technical.

Good effort but a bit way off the mark.
Have to agree with Lauda, if you are not that familiar with bitcoin then rather find a couple of good youtube videos and post a short summary and link for each.

To explain bitcoin for beginner with 'casino chips' scenario it's become harder to understand. Even for me. I think the easiest way is to give some bitcoin to other, and then they can feel the benefit of using bitcoin rather than fiat. |

I like Bitcoin because is decentralized,anonymous and free.
It is decentralized. It is not completely anonymous, but more semi anonymous! It's more anonymous than bank account but definitely less anonymous than cash. It is also not free. It cost money to hold the whole Bitcoin network operational and secure! It also cost money to send transactions, not too much granted but it still does cost something! |

I don't think that definition will help beginners. IMO that will just confuse them, you should make it more simple. Personally when I introduce bitcoin to someone, I always say first that it is a computer money  That's the simplest way I can tell to a beginner  |

Mentioning MtGox in any bitcoin related topic is not really good idea when you are explaining bitcoin idea to a newbie. Definition of bitcoin may vary and it can be described as: internet of money, cryptocurrency, digital commodity, payment method and more. For easy access to good tutorials and info I recommend www.bitcoin.org |
