Russia gives France puppy to replace killed police doghttp://news.yahoo.com/russia-gives-france-puppy-replace-police-dog-killed-112930593.htmlMoscow (AFP) - Russia has offered to send an Alsatian puppy to France in a gesture of solidarity after a police dog was killed during a raid on jihadists linked to the Paris attacks. Russia's interior minister Vladimir Kolokoltsev said he had written to his French counterpart Bernard Cazeneuve offering to send a puppy named Dobrynya to replace Diesel, a Belgian Shepherd killed in a huge raid north of Paris last Wednesday. Kolokoltsev said that as "a sign of solidarity with the people and police of France," he was offering the puppy, which "will be able to occupy the place in service of the police dog Diesel killed during a special operation to neutralise terrorists." The dog is named after a hero of Russian folk legend, Dobrynya Nikitch, famed for his strength, goodness and courage, he added. The ministry late Friday posted pictures of the small fluffy puppy and a video of him playing with a ball, which can be viewed here: https://mvd.ru/news/item/6802710...

Thats one super cute puppy. Oh, how cute! Imperialists give each other small puppies to train for wars. Animal manipulation at its worst. We could live free and happy, but we choose governments to take our freedom and give us sadness.

I don't they tried to mean something. It is just small kindness from Russians. Also it is just symbolic behaviour like "look, I am by your side".

We could live free and happy, but we choose governments to take our freedom and give us sadness. Do you even know what police dogs are trained for? It is not for 'war' but to keep peace, to find explosive materials and illegal substances. It was a nice, noble but rather insignificant gesture of Russia, but nonetheless a positive one.

Great idea - very kind gesture. It's this kind of "alliance" that will be very effective against the Islamic terrorists. I'd like to see the US stop worrying about Assad because nothing good ever comes of taking out a dictator and replacing quickly by "religious" nuts! Something stinks about the whole thing - US buddy-buddy with Saudi Arabia, one of the most violent, cold-blooded monarchies on Earth violating every basic human right known to man! And Assad is the "bad guy?" Just doesn't make any sense at all. Some elite group of people are making a great deal of money in some "shady" way. And don't tell me, it's all Russia!!!!!

People really need to stop and think what are they doing, and where are we going. This path now is not good, and instead to live free probably we will see much more restrictions, much more represion, much more evil. And I don`t see the light in this tunnel.

Don't vote for governments who want war. Most of your tax money goes to military expenditures, instead of good things.

Read it yesterday too. Still didn't understand what the Russians meant by this, they could send a mature dog, why did they offers a puppy? Trained Russian dogs will only understand instructions being given in the Russian language. It will take years to train them, so that they could follow the French commands. That is why they sent the puppy instead of a fully grown dog. Anyway... IMO, the move was more of a symbolical and emotional one.
