Hello,

On Saturday we bought bitcoins by trading BMBTC/PPUSD at the https://www.bitcoinmarket.com/ market.

However, since Sunday, the BMBTC/PPUSD trades do not exist anymore.

And what is even more disturbing, the link "Membership" in their website does not appear anymore!
So our bitcoins are locked in their website. We cannot access them.
Why is that?

I think that this is an important problem of trust in the whole bitcoin system.
Do you know what is happening?
I sent an email to bitcoinmarket.com yesterday but I didn't get any answer yet.

Best regards,
David

If you go to the main page on bitcoinmarket.com.

You will find the explaination for what is going on.
large amount of trading via paypal,
lots of unconfirmed purchases appearing to be fraudulent behavior by a number of sellers.
dwdollar is working on getting it worked out.

as for the membership link missing? I can see it.

The main page on bitcoinmarket.com says:
Quote
2011-6-04 - Suspending BMBTC/PPUSD Trades
BMBTC/PPUSD trades are suspended until further notice. The email issues along with fraudulent behavior has created a tremendous backlog of 'Unconfirmed' BMBTC/PPUSD trades. We must suspend new orders for BMBTC/PPUSD until we can resolve these trades and bring the situation under control. We appreciate your patience.

So, the BMBTC/PPUSD trades are suspended, ok.
However, it does not say that the membership access is also suspended, and our bitcoins blocked.
hey, we are talking about *real money* here! and right now our money is *blocked*.

The homepage also states that membership is my invitation only:

#
2011-6-04 - Going Back To Invitations

We are moving back to 'invitation only' while we bring the fraudulent behavior down to a more manageable level.

I see now the membership link.
I didn't login, so the membership link was not appearing.
I am sorry I freak out! :O

The membership link is working properly.
