It's history in the making and to mark these early years, I've cut a variation of the Bitcoin symbol into a graffiti stencil.
Limited to only 21 pieces, spray paint on varnished plywood, 30cm by 30cm & 1cm thick.
Signed and numbered, dated with additional signature mark on back.
As they're all hand-made, each piece are unique in colour and style.

Price drop!!
And if anyone's interested and paying in bitcoin> On checkout in my Etsy store select other payment option https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/Lucidhouse

A little about myself.
I've been making art for most of my adult life, creating all sorts of mixed media artworks.   Presently I've been focusing on mixing live visuals to electronic music. Performing audiovisual sets with DJ's and musicians.
You can find out more by searching for Lucidhouse (Morris La Mantia)

Why would anyone pay $145.00 (or €159,85 on Etsy) for a piece of plywood with some graffiti on it?

No offense but each one is the same. Just different colors. Just do free hand and give it some liveliness and you might be able to sell

It would be worth buying it was hand sprayed instead of using stencils which isn't graffitti. Any Tom Dick or Harry can do what you have done. Also the Bitcoin symbol is wrong.

Man some people on this forum are giving me a hard time... sure anyone could do what I've done but it's the doing that counts not talking about it.
If I'd painted each one lovingly as suggested could've been criticised all the same “anyone can splash a bit of paint on wood” etc.
So anyway, I'm not here to rebuff every critic. Admittedly some are valid and constructive.
Anyway if you believe that Bitcoin fan art will have value in the future, you might see something to interest you here.

And just to get things into perspective, recently this small one-off piece sold for $5501 at this auction >  https://bitify.com/auctions/collectable-art/nakamoto-original-artwork-by-cryptograffiti-196070/
 and some more > http://motherboard.vice.com/read/the-devout-and-lucrative-world-of-bitcoin-fan-art

Thank you

That's not true. Just look at the stuff that start the art has made. People have been really liking those paintings (and buying them).

Yes, but that wasn't a piece of plywood with some graffiti. It was a charity auction and made with destroyed credit cards (which is a pretty unique thing). You can't compare your panels with that, at least not in my opinion.

Keep in mind that first link is "This is a charity auction with 100% of the proceeds..." .  There is a huge difference from charity and for profit.   I mean likely a decent part of that painting is could be a tax write off.

And on second article some of it is "listed for".   You can list it for anything you want, listing and selling are two different things.

I like that the artwork reminds me of my avatar.   But I don't think you will get the amount your wanting.

Just because these items are offered for such high prices doesn't mean they're being bought for those prices. Art is such a beautiful thing. Selling or valuing art is such a weird thing. People will put crazy prices on art that is really easy to replicate. When people do that it's usually because the person creating the art has some history or fame...but that doesn't quite apply in this case.

Good luck with your sales, only the market can help you validate your price.

I was looking at the art again.  Like I said I kinda like the design.

What I suggest trying to in next set is use something besides plywood if your going to spend time on it and want it to be considered art quality wood might be the way to go.  I would add some 3d effect to it have the B logo possibly on a layer or two up, to have it not painted on wood sheet.  Also link the B, it does have 13 look a little much.

I would make one post see reaction.  Get feedback hopefully a buyer or good advice on what to do different in next one.
