There are a lot of bitcoin debit cards around currently and to be up there and competing with them I would suggest making sure that your fees are competitive and not too high.

I already use the Bitcoin Debit Card from e-coin and it's actually good, though I just use the "Virtual" Debit Card. But next year I have a plan to buy the "Physical" Debit Card so I can use it to buy something in real life Smiley

Yes, why not! I always expect we have our own bitcoin debt cards based on our country. So we can easily do the exchange, load bitcoin or CNY and avoid huge charges or inconvenience. This is a great market for our bitcoin community in China. China needs such kind of service related bitcoin not the one exchanges, cloud mining contracts,
new coins ICO, future trading etc.

It would be amazing to have a debit card thats reliable. I would be scared after the gox fiasco to trust some random company with my atm secured btc. I would never keep a balance. Basically transfer the btc right before I need to use the card.

I really hate the way traditional debit cards work. But I can definitely appreciate a Bitcoin debit card that allows me to deposit Bitcoin at for example Xapo and then it will allow me to pay everywhere with their card world wide.

As long as it allows me to spend the money that I have I am happy. That's why I will never use traditional debit cards. They allow you to spend money you don't have. That's what I hate about them.

I would use it. Currently the ones I've looked into though have too high fees and/or are not Bitcoin-based, but rather you load them up with fiat using bitcoin. I would like my bitcoin card to bitcoin-backed - even if that means dealing with the volatility.

A Bitcoin debit card would be nice but it is hard to get one with so many regulations. It helps with the low adoption rates of Bitcoin and users can spend Bitcoin indirectly. The only problem is the fees though.

nah, unless it's free with no fee at all, i would prefer to use bitcoin for what it is, simply moving funds from one client to another

without all the hassles of the credit card

Don't use those shit cards.
Debit Cards are printed and managed by central banks & financial institutions (Visa, MC, amex etc).

Bitcoin shouldn't depend on those.

If there would be no huge fees than yes, I would be a user of one such card. Also it's important to note that these cards are only the momentarily solution until our ecosystem doesn't grow enough that it becomes self-sustaining, without any need for such aids. That means that you can pay freely with your Bitcoin everywhere and that almost everyone accept it as a mean of payment!

We already have several bitcoin debit cards so not sure what ops on about. I would only use one if the fees were reasonable and most of them aren't at the moment.

True, but they might be the best option to actually spend your coins directly at the moment, though hopefully we wont need cards and will be able to pay with our wallets on our smartphones etc.

If the fees stays the same as it is right now for bitcoin then yes I might try it out. Unless it's controlled by some major bank then I won't do it.

I am already using Xapo debit card but if your offer would be better, i would reconsider to change provider. Sure we need more competition on that field.

i don't think i will use it. i like the fact that bitcoin allows me to get rid of third parties when doing payments. but i am fairly sure a lot people will like it. it's easy and makes sure you can pay at many places very quickly.
