Hello!

I'm looking to sell a used, refurbished 5870.  It has a loose fan that started becoming noisy two days ago.  You will receive the card only, packaged nicely and in an anti-static bag.  You will need to fix/replace the fan.

Looking to sell for 4.5 BTC shipped, or toss out an offer Smiley  The card has been mining for about 6 months solid at around 60C at 975/170, undervolted.

The only requirement is payment in BTC up front.  I have plenty of feedback upon request.

Hello,

I'd be shipping from Illinois.  I'll ship internationally at 7 BTC + shipping costs.  I haven't checked, but I'm guessing shipping would be like 2-4 BTC.

Hi. I live in wisconsin, so cheap shipping. Is the card reference or something else? If non-reference, got a brand/model? Also can you describe the fan symptoms? Does the fan scream/squeal, or is it a rattly sound? Does the fan tilt on its axis or can you only (lightly) pull it straight up and down? Just need to know if I can fix this or have to replace it. One of my reference 5870 fans has disintegrated on the inside. It almost feels like the metal axle has separated from the fan itself, but I'll found out soon when my fan from china arrives Wink

The card looks like this

I think it's a reference card?  I can adjust the voltage and drop the mem to 150...please correct me if I'm mistaken, but isn't that a sign of a reference card?

The fan does not scream or squeal, but it does make the rattly sound as if the fan is nicking the heatsink or something.  When I took the card out and gently spun the fan manually with my finger, I could feel it was very slightly loose.  It seems as if the fan can be pulled straight up and down a very tiny bit, and the fan can be pushed from side to side an even tinier bit.  As soon as I heard the noise, the card was out of my computer within 5 minutes.  When the card runs, it would be quiet for a second, then get loud for a few seconds, then quiet again, then loud, then quiet, etc.  It seems to be shifting in and out of it's central position when it spins.

Hope this helps Smiley

Reference will use that cooler, as well as having the "AMD" logo down by the PCI-E slot connectors, like the picture you linked, so yup. reference. Great for undervolting. As for the fan, I think I am familiar with that malfunction. I think I can fix it. I think I will buy this. I have traded successfully here on forums, and MANY times in #bitcoin-otc as per my -otc ratings link in my sig. Does the 7 BTC offer still stand? ATM I'm short on bitcoins, but I have dwolla, paypal, popmoney, amex serve, maybe cash in mail.. otherwise need to wait for my mining pool to fill up my wallet.

@ ssateneth

I would do 7 BTC + shipping costs, but I'm only looking for payment in BTC as I was otherwise going to buy some anyway.  How long would it take you to procure the BTC?  I'm looking to sell quickly, so if someone else jumps in with a higher offer, I might be swayed to sell to them if they are willing to make payment immediately.

@ abracadabra

I'm in the western suburbs of Chicago.
